Yes, I did feel looking at it yesterday they need to beef up the midfield a bit.

Watched the YouTube clips and he is brilliant. Though seen it all before. Waiting to see what he is like in the tough Championship.
First impressions though are that his skill set looks really impressive, breaking up play and carrying the ball with speed. Looks a strong player as well. Unlike say, Leitner and Norman, to think back a few years - far too easily bullied off the ball and ultimately far too lightweight for the league.
It's difficult not to be excited by such a signing as Mirko. Impressive recruitment it seems this pre season.

No messing this season. We've signed a tall team already - and that includes young Makama who supposedly has passed a medical today. He is another 'unit'.

Seriously pleased we went for this fella ahead of Mattsson. It seemed that was the way we were going.
You always need a bit of luck in a season with the run of a ball and so on but have to say we look well set for a proper campaign.

I know. It's because it looks so good on paper and it appears we've targeted some weaker areas and brought in (invested) some players on the up (not the reverse....Batth, Barnes etc). And virtually a new team. The new manager gives a bounce and the ownership is no longer up in the air. Knapper seems to have found his feet. So, as fans, we can do our bit!All this positivity, What's wrong with us ?
I suppose all this positivity may last until the end of August
Just watching the news now and it's salutary to think about Morecambe and Sheffield Wednesday and just how depressing it must be for their fans. I see Bannon has signed on for longer (good on him).

Haha, yes. The heart says get very excited about this window's new recruits. The head says remember that we often don't get a tune out of decent players in first season and beyond. Sargent, Rashica, Tzolis, etc etc. (yes, I think Rashica was decent!). And when we think we have great balance in the squad (think end of last January's window),it doesn't necessarily play out like that. But, whilst we should be very cautious about the unknown and untested newbies, the difference this time might be last season's recruits coming good. Crnac, Forson, Wright, ... so still feeling positive, despite my negatives.All this positivity, What's wrong with us ?

Never really managed to force his way into the first team, so makes sense to try his luck elsewhere.
