Agreed, let us give Murphy a start, I think Whittaker needs the match practice but otherwise we can bring in Jerome, O'Neil, Cuellar, E Bennett, Rudd in goal and rest the first teamers.

I'd agree with that and it's not a bad team at all. May need to change the formation a little to put Loza up top with Jerome.

Wasn't Garrido injured against Blackburn? Think we'll rest him maybe and play Whittaker there. E.Bennett on the right maybe as suggested above. Not sure what is happening with Surman but the Crawley game will be an indicator. Agree with Loza and Jerome up top, hopefully causing mayhem.

Can Loza do a job in the hole? I'd like to see Jerome get a game.

Very good point YC, Garrido won't play with a bit of a dodgy hamstring and having play 85+ minutes on Saturday.

Whittaker needs the practise so he should play.

Although there are much more important aims to attend to this would appear to be a useful game to stretch a few legs.

Last week's two new boys will likely get a start, which should put a few more bums on seats. Rudd, the Murphys and Loza should get further exposure, which is valuable and a couple of the current bench-warmers, O'Neil, Bennett (as full-back) and Surman, should start as well.

As long as this competition is put to use in this way then all to the good. It might backfire if anybody of note is injured though.

Will either Hooper or Howson be ready? Hooper in particular needs to earn his corn and justify his fee. He had a little purple patch last season when he was playing up to his hype and scoring goals, until Hughton drilled that out of him.

This should be a comfortable win by three or four goals considering we have home advantage and, as Adams's big success has been in a cup competition, it would be nice to get a decent home tie in the next round.

Very unlikely to be a comfortable several goal win.

I have never seen Crawley play live but as my local team I do follow their results. They rarely get turned over by anyone. Even as a non league side they only lost by 1 goal to Man U at Old Trafford. Two close games against Wolves last season - beating them at the Broadfield when Wolves were on a long unbeaten run.

And in the history of Crawley this is going to be one of their biggest games so I expect them to be up for it.

Write them off at your peril!

I've converted this into the Crawley match thread, little point in starting another!

Will have to settle for radio Norfolk for this one (having a 5-day-old baby at home bumps the league cup down the list of priorities somewhat!),but reckon Adams might have another go at the diamond here:

Rudd

Martin Cuellar Turner Garrido

O'Neil Johnson Surman

Hoolahan

Loza Lafferty

Subs: Matthews, Whittaker, Gafaiti, Tettey, JoshMurphy, Redmond, Grabban

(Assuming no Howson/hooper/RBennett)

Given that Becchio played 90 mins for the u21 on Sunday I expect to see him in some capacity against Crawley

This may well be a chance for Becchio to force his way back in. Although I wouldn't be surprised to not see him at all.

Rudd

Bennett, Cuellar. Gafaiti, Whittaker

O'Neil, Surman

Murphy. Murphy

Loza. Jerome.

Who's actually going tomorrow?

I've spoken to a few friends and a lot of people are not going. I'm going but won't be sitting in my season ticket seat, sitting just behind the bench, get a feel for Adams management style and a good place to spot any potential signings watching the game.

Probably be a decent gate for a Tuesday night cup game because they are running the kids for a quid offer, bet there will be a good away following too so wouldn't be surprised if we get a gate of 15000+.

As a childless man I think that would put me off going if I lived in Norwich but I'm glad they are doing the kids for a quid thing - season ticket holders of the future.

Like it, why not? Couldnt care less about the cup and seeing as recent cup runs have seen us lose to non-league opposition, why not use it as an opportunity to give the youth a chance. If we lose, who cares

The only thing I worry about with a loss is the halting of momentum. I don't think it matters if the squad is made up of 2 starters or 10 starts, if we lose to Crawley we also lose a little momentum.
