I think the writing was on the wall, it feels like a preconceived plan ... maybe that's just me but anyway, thanks Morty, we can reconvene here
I think once Archant sold out to whoever owns it now somebody maybe asked the question "Hang on, why are we paying someone to spend their day sorting out petty squabbles on a forum, that doesn't actually make us any money"? It is a real shame, if you go back to page one, I'm on there. And I was around before that when you got each individual post approved. I have made many great friends there.

Hi! Despite my chequered past there, its a real shame that they seem happy to just let it die. I guess a business decision, but to be honest, these things really don't take much running.
Yes, despite it's faults, and those of the posters, me included, it is/was a community, and now I cannot access it, I miss it.
I think I'll come on here more and hopefully see plenty of the old faces.

I wonder if the day has finally come then, or whether the tech guys have just been on christmas holidays and nobody in the office has the ability to fix whatever has gone wrong.

Connor the Kid has never wanted to moderate that forum, I felt that the writing might be on the wall when he deleted Non-football, didn't expect the main one to go quite so quickly (if that has happened).

If they do away with the forum then I expect the entire Pink'un site to follow, surely most people only ever type Pinkun.com in their browser these days to visit the forum!

I am JonnyJonnyRowe on the Pinkun, much prefer my username on here now actually, funny that!

I never really understood their decision to close the non football forum, unless maybe they want to save money on server capacity.

Think the Pinkun is gone so here I am to hassle you all here instead!
Pretty scummy way to do it if so.

No chance for people to say their goodbyes, reminisce etc, 21/22 years of posts lost, also that section dedicated to the chap who passed away, all the PUPs pledges not recoded.

Wouldn't expect any less from the ginger kid really, but does make me wonder whether its just a tech issue and it will be back?

I would have thought a technical issue, surely they wouldn't just pull the plug like that?

Their Twitter account is still working fine though, so they could update people.

I missed your report yesterday Ricardo. I didn't make it to the game as I was ill and the user of my ticket just said 'shit first half, a bit better this half. Learn to defend set pieces you clowns.'
I'd guess yours would be a bit more detailed!

Like reading your stuff Pukki aka Johnny, Johnny. Some very good posters over there, that I will miss, Ricardo, Nutty among others. Long serving contributors that have kept the forum rolling. They will be long remembered, unlike the new breed of moderators on there. Paddy can go back to his Coventry supporting, goodness knows what will happen to the other two

Well well who could have ever guessed that this place would outlive the Pink'Un Forums.. Guess a few out there must have to eat some humble pie right about now ;)But seriously it's a shame to see it go. Even more of a shame and quite frankly somewhat upsetting it's gone without so much as a notice or warning, and at Christmas of all days too. Over 20 years of history, thousands of posts and countless notable posters and personalities all resigned to the dustbin although sadly the drama from time to time and personal vendettas some posters had with one another won't be missed, nor will the bullying that myself and some others had to endure from time to time. (Even if I will admit I probably did deserve some of it..)

Interestingly if you Google "Norwich FC forum" this place is the first result that shows up. Guess even Google knows this is the place to be now! Here's hoping certain others from there will show up here from time to time, but if not I wish them well.

Connor Southwell is not a qualified journalist, so he'll have to go and pick up the phones at Aviva or something.

Paddy Davitt is, so he'll get something I guess.

@morty - have you let the forum owner know that after nearly a decade of patiently waiting his forum has finally taken off? :D
