I agree. It was a problem on both flanks.

True. However on the left hand side I felt it was mostly because Johnson was having an awful game - way too slow to react and get back in position.

I've no problem with one of Howson or Johnson on one of the flanks, i'd personally rather have Howson centrally and Johnson on the left.
