Do you follow me on Twitter lol?

I said exactly that!
Ah, no I don't, although I'd be happy to.
The responses were bland corporate speak, bit annoying.
Have to wait & see what the summer brings I suppose.

Obviously he couldn't say that Wagner was a chump who wasn't going to be here for next season.
But.... he could have said, and didn't, that Wagner was the man & they're building the team together for next season.

Again, the Archant journos kinda let him off the hook, his beige answers were in reply to beige questions. I would have asked :-

"What was going wrong last season?"

"Do you think the squad is too old / too big?"

"What specific areas do you see as issues, and what are your solutions?"

"Are you happy with the conduit between the academy and the first team, are you concerned that a talent like Ken Aboh won't sign a contract? Is it because he doesn't feel he will get a first team chance here? Has the fact that Idah has been given limited gametime maybe influenced this?"

"We seem to have been short of a defensive midfielder for a while, is this a priority, or not considered important in how you want us to play?"

They never asked me though...

Yes, the questioning was extremely tame.

Just finished watching that. I liked what I saw.
Yes, he gives me a sense that he isn't such an ego as far as owners go but is someone quite serious, ambitious and yet amenable to ideas. That video indicates his focus on:
(a) the team and its success
(b) a longer term view of stuff - that includes the stadium, facilities, training, recruitment and so on.

Good to hear him. At no stage did I feel he is some kind of conman. And difficult though it always would be to replace Delia and Michael (if even possible) then he is a decent sort to succeed.

Likewise now, having watched Manning much more, I get the sense of a quiet determination from him too (like MA). Not a showman but serious. Shades of Saunders? Maybe 10%.

Who knows how this will all play out on the pitch. But the foundations seem strong enough...certainly more settled than 12 months ago when we knew change was not only afoot but required. The early recruitment of new players has also given me a new reassurance and confidence that had definitely deserted me those last 3 months of last season.
