It was always going to be a bumpy ride.

At the moment it is one bad game after some encouraging performances. But perhaps it provides some perspective. Highlights a bit of over optimism too soon on the back a few games that have gone well, and from what I have read elsewhere a tendency to swing too far back in the other direction on one adverse result.

At face value it's one game possibly against opposition that we do not match up well against, that can happen. It's the poor run in October and November that has done the damage, not today's game. That has put us behind the clock in terms of points accumulation, and so every set back hits us hard, harder than it should. But one set back should not result in sudden doubt about a management team that only hours ago was being lauded.

Time to keep our nerve guys, and be realistic and realise that there will be set backs.

This is "bad day at the office for me" as opposed to "full on mental meltdown" that some are having lol.

Yup, I agree, although I agree with the Reading manager's comments about paying for being overly dismissive in the build-up. Great way to fire up an opposition team. Talk them up a bit on the other hand...

We were on the same bus !!  :)
You should have said hi! I would have said hi to you, but I didn't see anyone that looked like a red pair of socks  :D

I didn't tip the driver, as I was bloody freezing the whole way home!

I had my two sons with me, yes. Aye, I was about three quarters of the way back, on the right.

Lol, it was definitely not sunnies weather!

I have to say, I've seen the 'foul' that leads up to Reading's penalty a number of times now, and I still can't see what Johnson did wrong. None of the Reading players appeal, and to me it just looks like a routine coming together from a corner. It's admittedly a little hard to see without the benefit of a slow motion replay, but it looks incredibly soft to me.

Shame I didn't spot you, we don't use the bus very often nowadays but next time we do I'll post in advance. :)

The ref was utterly, utterly awful. For both teams. Our goal was dubious.

I won't likely get to another away game now until February or March, but yes we should see if we can bump into each other!

Certainly the Radio Norfolk commentators couldn't understand the penalty decision. Daryl Russell said that if every ref gave a penalty for shoulder to shoulder challenges in the box we'd see 10-12 penalties in every match. As for the City goal, there was a suggestion that Reading were time wasting in making the substitution and the ref waved play on. He seemed to lacvk control or consistency through the whole match.

Highlight has to be the miss by Simon cox ,even if he was offside

The highlights suggest that BJ tugged the shirt of the Reading player, but the fall looks pretty theatrical. Great goal by BJ, though.
