People will always find something to moan about. The degree depends on whether we win or lose. If we lose, expect Canary calls questioning why we sold him.

We need to make the game about us, not a returning ex player.

I question the fragility of the crowd though, we need a good start.

Did we sell him or did he want to leave? I understood the latter. I was led to believe he, along with Morison, criticised the playing one up front style of Hughton, and apart from the family moving North, was the reason he left.

But he does have an ego that stretches from here to Yorkshire, which probably made him a better player, so I expect him to want to start and to score at least one goal.

It appears NA has tried every system with every combination of players. He has tinkered, even when we have won. I would be shocked if he altered the team for Saturday. That team won and he has to consider whether he thinks it can continue winning, even if the style annoys the crowd somewhat. I'm sure, fickle as we are, 10 points from the nest four games and he will have us salivating at the results if not the performance.

Valid point and if he doesn't play I would hope the twitter reaction will be responded to by NA with an arm round the shoulder and explain about the need for results being so important at the moment, for everyone's sake.

Weren't it confirmed that he was ill / sick in the run up to the game?

I don't think I'd put Redmond back in anyway, Howson was one of our best players at Wigan in his role which saw him drift out to the right. Unless it was Redmond in on the left with Johnson out in the same system that we played against Wigan?

He needs to work his way into the team the right way, with the right attitude and do his talking on the pitch. He's done well this season but he has hardly been undroppable.

He seems to be acting like a sulky teenager and its ridiculously unprofessional.

I may be reading the situation wrong, but that's the way his tweets are coming across.

I for one would be extremely disappointed if he stuck with the same team. One of Hughton's big faults was playing the same system and personnel after a decent result, regardless of the opposition. The line-up last week did a good job countering (what is on paper at least) a decent footballing side in Wigan, away from home. Huddersfield will come to Carrow Road looking to contain and hit us on the break, so a different approach is needed. Redmond has been our best attacking player this season, if I were him I'd be very annoyed if I was left on the bench.

To be fair though, he's done a lot more than most of our players have this season. I think he can certainly be aggrieved at being dropped. I do agree though that he's definitely not 'undroppable'.

Too many theories about what that tweet could be about - so will not speculate.

For me the issue is although Redders is one of our most skilful players it does not necessarily mean it is our best team when he starts. We have not a great record of converting his crosses, which may not be his fault - so we have to try another way. And at the moment the other way looks to have the benefit of making us a bit more robust.

Anyway looking forward to the game, but with much nervousness!

I can see staying with the same side, but like others I think it was tailored for a difficult away game. It's vital that we score first or they will shut up shop. For that reason, I'd start Redmond in a 4-2-3-1 with O'Neil making way and Jerome on the left, where he has played before.

As gritty as the performance was last week we were on the back foot too often, ruddy touched the ball more than just about every player and whittaker from ruddy was the key pass.    As much good there was to take from the game (mainly movement & tenacity) the passing and creativity was poor with no efforts on target from Jeromes weak effort early on until Laffertys at the death.    That wont win us enough games in future.

This team has that grit with ability (well,  for me anyway)

My wife has only gone and arranged a meal and drinks in Leeds today with her friends (which I was told about but forgot about instantly, as is usually the case),taxi coming in a bit. Tried to get out of it by pretending I was ill but my feigning abilities aren't as good as they were when I was a teenager trying to get out of school, I even drank a blackcurrant beechams to support my claim  

Apparently meeting her best friends new boyfriend in Leeds on a Saturday when Leeds are playing at home is more important than seeing Grant Holt's return to Carrow Road, in some parallel universe that I'll never understand. Unfortunately I've neglected the wife a bit recently due to being busy, so I'll have to take her word for it on this occasion and pretend not to be gutted. Looking forward to hearing about how it goes and hope he gets a good reception!

So am I actually. The possibility of Hoolahan or Ryan Bennett featuring, the 'controversy' almost around Redmond. It'll certainly be very interesting.

I was thinking about this in the shower earlier (yes that does sound a bit weird!),I realised that I simply wouldn't ever want Holt to come back here as a player. Despite feeling that he could probably still do a job in our squad now that Adams is prepared to play a bit uglier to grind out results, and that he couldn't do any worse than Grabban in his recent form, just what would he have to gain from coming back here? 

Fleck made that mistake. Literally nothing that he could add to his legacy here, unless he came off the bench and scored a winner in a play-off final or something, could only damage it if it didn't work out. We should be grateful for the fact that we had him for his 3 best years in his prime and leave it at that. 

I do have a feeling that he'll score because he's the type of player who rises to the occasion and we don't keep many clean sheets, but I couldn't give a toss if he scores or not really because we should have the ability in our squad to outscore Huddersfield, which is ultimately all that really matters. If they score we need to score twice, simple really! 

Wish I was at the game to give him his big welcome back though, which I'm sure he'll get, its not very often that you come up against a player who is a genuine club legend and it may be the last time (unless we end up in League One playing Carlisle  :lol: )

Its very unprofessional if it is club-related. But he is still a teenager isnt he? I know he should be more professional, but he is what he is, cant be too harsh on him!
