Norwich odds for promotion

Personally, I think we have a strong team and hope we can hold onto Fer, Wolfswinkel and Hooper with the additions we have already made this summer.  If we can, is it me, or do these odds seem worth a punt?!

Norwich outright 10/1

Promotion 16/5

Rumours are Ricky is off on loan.

And I really wouldn't bet on Fer being here at the end of the transfer window!

That said, we are still strong, and we could still make additions to the squad, so a cheeky tenner couldn't hurt!

I do fancy our chances, but there's an awful lot of variables over a season, and bookies love people sticking these kinds of bets on.

Are those odds genuine

May stick a tenner on automatic, and £3 on promotion (automatic stake back if up via play-offs).

Are there odds for a top six finish?

There will be odds for a top six finish for sure. But I doubt the odds will be brilliant. somewhere around evens maybe.

Morty, I hope you're wrong, but somehow think you have hit nail on head, a week before season and on honeymoon is a bit concerning.  Canaryboy odds are genuine and on Paddy Power

It was always agreed Fer would be on holiday til August 4th, much like a lot of players who featured in the World Cup.

It's easier to stay in the Premier League than get promoted to it. To stay you only need 3 teams worse than you. To be sure of promotion you need only 1 team better than you. With the likes of Fulham, Derby, Wigan and Cardiff competing can we be sure of that?

History has shown only 20% of relegated teams bounce back the season after, the larger parachute payments now should give the relegated teams a bigger advantage though

I think those odds are a about right. Quite a few clubs are strong this season.

...and we have an unknown quantity as a manager.

I had a look around and the odds at the moment seem to have us ranging between 7/1 outright favourites (bet365) to 10/1 - they all have us in the mix along with the likes of Wigan, Cardiff, Derby et al, which is probably about right with nothing concrete to yet go on. We obviously need to go out and prove them right!

Last time we went up I got great odds at the start of the season & made a handy few bob. Not so sure now - a tenner on straight promotion will be enough for me. As I think we might start slowly I wonder whether to wait a few weeks to hopefully get longer odds.

We have a solid squad of players who should put us into contention but it will depend on the comings and goings. It;s a very competitive league.
