Not gonna lie, I'm not feeling too optimistic about this.

Not seen much news other than Topic is fit again, which could be handy if he gets up to speed quickly.

Edit Big Phil saying there are a couple injuries from Saturday's squad. One might be big Vlad is a guess I'm seeing.

Nor me.
Possibly a draw is due. Yet, just not feeling much confidence at the moment.

Topic is to play in an U21 match very soon so he could soon be available again.

How the optimism of pre season drains away so quickly.

I always feel that we can score though but likewise a sense that so can any other team.

It is Southampton’s attacking powers that worries me, if it is to be another Vindaloo style (score one more than you) type game, I’m not sure we will do that!

Hearing big Vlad may be out as well, but let’s see, hopefully Grimmy has a good game is that’s true, but also a worry!

I would take a point right now if offered it!

Wonder if we see Makama from the start tonight?

I reckon Makama will start, Grimshaw is okay but I'd like to see more of our U23 keeper, have you seen him? He's an absolute giant!

The better team won.
Better than us right across the pitch.
At home too and we barely laid a glove on them.

Absolute crap.

Slight improvement when Musaba and Makama were on, they gave Southampton something to defend against.

Kvistgaarden, he tries but I can't see he is ever going to cut it up top at this level.

But at least he tries. More than can be said for some.

It's starting to look a bit bleak.

Think the problem with Kvistgaarden in the service into him, and not playing to his strengths.
I still fully maintain if you but Kvist in the Farke team instead of Pukki he would be as clinical and good as Pukki was

It was never this bad under Delia...
It probably was with the Roeder era, but I do get your point. I recall a miserable cup night away at Bury (bless them) and felt I was watching us at the rock bottom.
There again I loved our one year in League One for so many reasons. Lambert brought back the love and the passion. We've had gone ones since too.
But this team Morty, I struggle to really identify with any player in it. Kenny, because he's been here for ages maybe. The rest?

I thought it was similar to Swansea, ok first half without creating much followed by a bang average second half where we pretty much ran out of ideas. I'd play Maghoma every time as he seems to be the only player with some creativity which says quite a bit about our wide players. I noticed Brooks went straight down the tunnel when subbed off, did he come back ?
I would only start with one wide player Saturday as they've had very little impact and get Maghoma behind Kvist, I don't think Phil will though.
Only slight chink of optimism is if we win Saturday then that would get us a good start for what seems to be a better run of fixtures

I don't see it.

I think MK tries, I think he's a decent player. He's not a Pukki comparison though.

Agree think we created a couple of decent opportunities first half, but just flat second half.

I think we looked for solid with only one out and out winger starting yesterday in Brooks, Schwartau more willing to come inside and add another body in midfield.

As much as I do like Krist we need to start Makama saturday
