Great that we've kept the run going. That's the away game out the way as well and you would hope by the time we play them later in the season we will be a better team and obviously have home advantage. Has to be said they are such a poor side.
That said, in general we were f*cking terrible yesterday. First half was ok, just about acceptable, but with the exception of 15 minutes after the scum scored, we were absolutely woeful. Our passing and decision-making was ponderous, and time after time we gave the ball away or misplaced a pass in a decent position. It wasn't much better at the other end either, we just didn't seem capable of putting our foot through the ball, every single clearance fell straight back to an Ipswich player, and we were constantly putting ourselves under pressure by not being able to move out of our own box. Quality strike from Leitner though, excusing the fact that his performance for the 3rd or 4th game in a row was very underwhelming. Thought Jamal Lewis was our best player by a distance. Had Edwards in his pocket all game. Max Aarons also did a very respectable job considering it was his first league game and such a big one too. In hindsight starting Buendia on the wing wasn't really the right call. Think we'd have been much better off using him as an impact sub in a central position as we did against Leeds. Pukki I thought was also impressive first half. Probably should've tried to bend his effort that hit the post into the far corner though rather than the near.
Also, the referee was an absolute shambles. Didn't let the game flow and made some terrible 50/50 decisions. Blowing for half-time as well when Tettey's on the edge of the box about to cross it in, what was that all about?
Ultimately though, that was probably our worst derby performance of the last decade, and they STILL can't beat us

.
Right, 2 weeks off now, and when we come back we need to see signs of improvement, and most importantly some results. No exceptions.
