They always say that the form book goes out of the window in Derby's, I'm not too worried about a 1-1 away to Ipswich, especially as we had 4 or 5 players in the treatment room including Pritchard. They still haven't beaten us in god knows how many years and hopefully they'll now underestimate us at Carrow Road

The only thing I'm worried about (increasingly so) is this striker situation.

We've always been rubbish at doing business late in the summer window.
But with AN's persistence in one up front, even when we are losing or not playing well, I can't see who we are going to be able to get. Assombalonga would still face the problems Jerome does if yesterday's second half is anything to go by.

Like it or not we are a championship team so we have to get seasoned championship players in who can handle themselves our players are weak mentally & physically did they not realise it was a derby game ?

Ipswich spine of their team Berra in Defence Douglas & Scuse Midfield  Murphy upfront they are all proper competitive championship players who don't mind the dirty stuff who the hell have we got ?

Should of signed Joey Barton when he was available, unfortunately we are searching for the wrong type of players for the league we are in.

What we have got is muddled tactics at times. Theirs is straightforward. Their midfield spends most of its time watching the ball sailing up to Murphy. If you think hoofball is acceptable then you will be  in a very tiny majority at NCFC.

And what difference does it make to many of the players that it was a derby game? Derbies only have meaning to long term supporters. To the players it is the same three points no matter who you beat.

If they cared that it was a derby game and actually turned up for a battle we would of won, but no we are too nice play nice football, boring and predictable that is what it is need a few leaders in the dressing room. Sam Hutchinson at Sheffield Wednesday or a Joey Barton.

Just after we scored we were all over them and then all of a sudden Douglas did a diving header which was knee height he knew he would get a boot in his head but at the same time knew he would get the free kick and broke up the pressure, nobody in Norwich team was up for that kind of commitment yesterday.

Kinda agree a little bit, we seem to lack a bit of grit and determination, this league is where Bradley Johnson would have become relevant again for us.

Aston Villa have signed Jedinak, that would have been an ace signing, but then we can't really justify signing more centre midfielders when it is patently obvious that the signing we need to make is a forward.

I fear that right now we have got a Plan A again, and all of our contingency options are fast evaporating. Brighton have signed Glenn Murray on loan and he has scored 3 in 3, would have thought he'd have been a good Daryl Muprhy / Grant Holt type player for us.

If we can attract players like Pritchard here then it isn't simply a case of us not being an attractive option, or not having the finances, it feels like we may just be being too picky at a time where we really can't afford not to strengthen that position.

I agree and most would that we need a leader. I don't particularly see one in this squad who fits the bill however. I don't agree they all lack commitment though. Just because Wes isn't going to fly into tackles doesn't mean he is not committed.
