The whole thing was a calamity really,
Supporters panel said that the safe standing was good, and creates a safer environment.

Club (Zoe) then said that they were told it's unsafe due to the overhanging metal along the edges. Point 10:

The Barclay safe standing still feels less safe to me than the open terracing days. But I hate being tied to one spot, i'd rather be free to mingle.
There was a cup match where non-regulars were coming in very late and all kinds of confusion finding their 'seats', which lead to people walking back and forth in opposite directions which wedged a load of us in as one woman suddenly just stood still as she couldn't go forwards and was too big to turn back around and was yelling at her kids who had gone off ahead.

She then started having a panic attack and freaking out, but in good Barclay fashion was mostly ignored. I felt sorry for her, but this was a good five minutes after kickoff.

It did make me wonder what would happen were there any sudden emergency. Sure it's been safety tested though... right? :)
I think it is much safer. I have never sat down in block E, and it was never enforced. I thought kids weren't allowed to have season tickets in the Barclay now? For me though, before the rails, daftarse teenagers in rows behind me would celebrate the goals and end up spilling over into rows in front, am surprised nobody broke a bone.
