Told you you survive :D It annoys me that Pulis willl set up to beat "Big" teams and often does it but then the team puts on a performance like that. Still a draw tomorrow would be great. Palace getting sucked in too Shame no Mulumbu. All The Best lads

Thanks, there wasn't really any chance of Mulumbu playing, he's hardly featured all season.

Shame he was somewhat of a hero for us. I think he may go aboard in the summer if he isn't getting game time. It would've been nice to see him one last time

Not the prettiest of games, but a beautiful result..Well done the boys in Green and Yella.  Be proud tonight and enjoy your rest day. More of the same please.  Everyone was wearing the shirt to win. No complaints from me about this performance. I thought that M'Bokani was superb.  Last but not least, the away supporters were tremendous, and the whisky was/is, pretty tasty

I quite liked the look of him in his first couple of games, looked like with a bit of fitness he could be a great box to box midfielder. Not sure why Alex Neil hasn't given him a go really. He's come in a couple of times and looked really off pace due to a lack of game time.

I wonder whether he just doesn't have the hunger and is ready to go and earn a fortune in Qatar or something, or perhaps Alex Neil just doesn't fancy him any more. Strange one as he came with a decent pedigree and did show real quality earlier in the season against Man City.

Its just odd really, Dorrans can get games and Mulumbu can't, I'm sure that plenty of West Brom fans would be bemused by that. I can't explain it.

Funny how we see things differently. From my point of view Mulumbu has been an absolute catastrophe in more or less every game he's played. Very disappointing from a signing I expected a lot from.

In his first start away to Man City in October I thought he was one of our best players. His next start at the end of December was a disaster, but what do you expect when you throw him in against Spurs after not playing for two months.

For whatever reason it hasn't worked out, hopefully he can get a good injury free pre-season under his belt and challenge for a space next season if we can't agree mutually to part ways.

Going to be a lot of changes this summer though whether we stay up or not, We accrued a fair bit of deadwood.... its going to be strange being stuck with Van Wolfswinkel for the final year of his contract. He's not scored in the league this season, meaning he's got 6 league goals in total in almost three whole seasons, can't see anybody taking him!

Great win, big effort by the lads, despite my doubts AN got the set up right even though it was all a bit messy first half, The spine of the side was terrific, particularly Mbokani and Klose.....and the fans, they deserved that big time!.

May I just salute Gary O'Neil who I thought was immense in this game, a giant and vital link in our battle to stay up.

I also must acknowledge Mobakani and AN's superb efforts too.

I do really like Gary O'Neil but that bandage around his head has made him a better player.
I like O'Neil as well, but that disastrous pass to Sessegnon to put him straight through on goal could have cost us the game if Bassong hadn't got back in time. O'Neil's such a good player except for the tendency to give the ball away in dangerous positions. At least the idiotic sending off against Stoke was a one-off,

Was a poor game but I don't really care seeing how important this game was for us. We've actually played much better than that in recent games and haven't got anything, but nevertheless we did what we needed to and got the long-awaited win, which I felt we deserved.

West Brom were pretty toothless in front of goal, however even so our defensive shape was excellent. Klose was fantastic again, and is proving to be a terrific signing. Bassong looked solid alongside him as well. I also much preferred Brady higher up the pitch, and I would like to see us use him there more regularly now going into the last 7 games, especially with Redmond out injured, that's assuming that Brady isn't now going to be out injured for a spell seeing as he had to come off with injury. Mbokani was superb, great decision from Neil to throw him back in. Howson and O'Neil also battled brilliantly in centre midfield. For West Brom I thought Yacob had a decent game, apart from him though I didn't think anyone played particularly well.

Massive win though, and we really need to use this as a springboard going into some even bigger games. I'm much more confident we will do it now, especially after Newcastle and Sunderland's result today, but there is still a long way to go.

A poor game with a great result against a dour unproductive baggies side - how have they had such a good run of form??  Overall our performance was poor with the first half very reminiscent of swansea & villa and many players below par.   fortunately the second half was marginally better with a solid defensive triangle of klose bassong and Oneil (all three were excellent) stifling the little threat wba had.   Klose was my motm,  with GO'N a close second.

Areas of concern?  Ruddy made me nervous and a little flappy,  Olsson,  despite providing the cross of the season that was so good mbokani chose to watch it in awe instead of attacking it, was defensively shaky.  442 offered us nothing,   our attacking threat was as anonymous as usual (was going to say worse but its a while since any striker had a shot on target) with both bamford and mbokani atrocious in the first half,   Mbokani did improve in the second and at least linked up for some of our better moments,  although his inability to attack the ball (MO cross one of a couple)  frustrates me.   One body down in cm meant that  Howson was below his recent performance levels and both wingers were ineffective.

Our confidence grew following the flukiest flicked teckers assist ever - and we need to take the wins however we get them and as the rolling sones sung am delighted to be winning ugly.

I wanna be on topForever on the upAnd damn the competitionI never play it fairI never turn a hairJust like the politiciansI wrap my conscience upI wanna win that cupAnd get my money babyBut back in the dressing roomThe other side is weepingAnd we're winning, winning uglyAnd we're winning, winning ugly

Putting aside my Canary delight at this win, I am  little disappointed that a reasonable and likeable club in WBA who tried to play and usually had some players worth watching has been converted by Pulis into a brutish, cynical and unimaginative bunch.   I appreciate the pressures on them. One statistical analysis I read last summer made them favourites for relegation.  Even so, as a footballing club they have gone a long way backwards and that is sad.

I don't know that we played poorly in the first half.  I think AN had a plan to contain them, much as we did the previous week vs. ManC. For both opponents we were expected to be an easy win. By halftime,  both were confounded and losing their competitive edge of being a far superior team (ManC),  and home field advantage (EVA). In both cases,  we then proceded to develop the better scoring opportunities, were almost never in real danger of giving up a goal (a total of 3 shots on target in the 2 games combined) and came away with more than expected. Twice.

It's as if AN has read The Art of War and is adopting a few of the clever strategies there in. Thank you, Mr. Tzu :)

I agree to be honest. As CanaryBoy said he did well in his first start against Manchester City, but since then he's looked slow, off the pace, and just generally disinterested. Players go round him like he's not even there, he's too lightweight when going in for challenges, and no good in the air. Clearly for a fair few years at West Brom he wasn't any of those things, but I'm starting to see now just why they released him.
