Sure is, we are now in for eight "Cup Finals".....better than being in a safe mid table position with nothing to play for?

Be interesting to see what we come up with for this one.

Getting everyone behind the ball and sitting deep like we did against Man City probably won't give us the attacking threat we need.

Prospective Club buyers and the agents of Berahino's replacement are both likely to be in attendence. This hopefully will be a harder game than it looked 14 days ago. If we score first expect to get Pulis'd  Despite the good result at Man City, you are facing a man who has got to pay that cash back to Palace. So, I think he'll be out to prove a point. Can Alex Neil match him tatically? who knows, It will be good to see Dorrans and Mulumbu again

esp with redmond out and brady still touch and go.

We have two key challenges - getting the balance between attack & defence right and displaying the aptitude and application seen v citeh, leicester, chelsea west ham and not the corner of the conch seeking specimens see at Swansea etc.

We have a relatively decent recent record there so we can get something from this game, if the players want  - will the players desire match the fans?

From Alex Neil at the press conference

Redmond out for a few weeks

Ryan Bennett is a doubt

Crucial run of five games where we need to get as many points as possible

Redmond will definitely play a part in our season still

We really do, if Benno is out we need Bassong to be fit, otherwise it looks like it would be Martin at CB again

Ah but to be fair Russell's vegan diet means he can jump higher.

In fairness Russell Martin has played well over recent weeks regardless of the position he has played, so many others have disappointed this season, yet at times it feels like only Russell Martin gets criticism.

Russell Martin has really impressed me in two games this season, and in both of those he was playing as a sweeper behind two other centre backs.

For me, if we stay up, then his role needs to be limited to backup right back, emergency centre back, or sweeper in a five man defence / three man defence with wingbacks.

If we go down then he's alright at that level. At this level he's only good enough to be a utility player for backup.

He's contracted until 2018 and clearly wants to be a manager or coach, and he's not going to take a big pay cut to go and play for Ipswich or another mid-table Championship club which befits his level these days, so I think it would be a good idea to give him the opportunity to take his coaching badges and start working with the U21's.

He's a great guy who loves the club and a level down he's a good player, but if we stay up we really need to improve on him and he should be quite a bit down the pecking order, 15 game a season player, like Ryan Bennett was before this season.

If we go down then he's good enough to be a regular player.

the lesser spotted 442 appears to of been seen today, I like it, though I'd of had Jerome ahead of Mbokani

That's probably the best line up we could have put out today, happy with that

442 is worth a go when you're not winning matches with the other systems.
