He was looking for a pass and it's why I feel sorry for him. Bassong always moves the ball quickly when a pass is on. He holds on to it when there isn't anyone to pass to. Unfortunately many people in the crowd (not saying about this you) fail to realise that there is a lack of movement and people making themselves available so they get on his case and not those who are standing still.

But then if he hoofs it the crowd don't like it. And if he passes it backwards the crowd don't like it. He can't win.

Maybe he should just hide up like Bennett does.
Good point

Worth bearing in mind that we came up through the play-offs, which means confirmation of promotion is delayed relative to the automatic slots, which puts you at further disadvantage for signing players relative to other teams.
It is also worth noting that pretty much all the pundits were predicting that we would go down.  Not a bad call as it happens but the important point is that we were hardly an attractive option for many of the supposed targets. We tried to get decent players in but we were never in a good position to attract the very best.

Which is of course why staying up is so crucial and why yesterday was especially disappointing. The teams that stay up will in such a strong position to attract quality players.

To be honest, I saw this sequence of events a mile off, like im sure some of you must have, we do the hardwork and get ourselves into a position where we can all but put things to rest and *bleep* it up.  Numerous Norwich sides have done this, not least of all this lastest team of the last couple of years who are mentally weak.

Unfortuantely, Klosses injury finished our season, I'm amazed at how much confidence/stability he brought to the back line, Saturday just highlighted how much we will miss him, all the old habits returned.  Redmond had a good 10 minute cameo but he was anonymous as the rest once the second went in.  Olsson was our best player for me, unusually for him his defensive positioning was great and he stopped it being 4-5 nil.

What is it about Norfolk/Norwich that seems to engender this weakness of will, I sometimes wonder if the allowance of this perceived little club mentality doesnt infect the players, it certainly does the press and officials (they dont seem to mind going against us).  If Man Utd had those penalty decisions of recent weeks go against them there would be uproar, but us, its all so quiet.
