Redmond and Brady on the wings with Mbokani as the target man. There should be an onslaught.

Love the look of that team, and that's even with Wes as an option off the bench.

No matter what happens today, I think we're going down. Every single week we defend like a side of schoolchildren. To call us headless chickens would be a disservice to beheaded fowl everywhere.

Our defence was pretty clueless under Lambert too but if we can wrap this up with a 5-4 win then I fancy our chances of repeating the Lambert PL season.

Really horrible defending specially from both CB's and Whittaker. Third goal was bit lucky for Newcastle, but two others were so bad defending that I almost threw my mug on the wall.

Really nice to have Olsson full fit again. His pace is real weapon for our relative slow team. Hopefuly we can get at least draw from here, but seems like after good start for season we are going to make our season full of nerve cracking bottom half win or die games..

I think defence will be where we spend money in January.

I sense that perhaps we haven't given Newcastle enough respect for the quality of their attacking players though, hoping we'll be a bit more solid in the second half, plus their third goal was Redmond's fault really, going for glory and giving the ball away in a bad position allowing them to counter.

Then again our defence were never this clueless under Lambert, especially against bottom of the league strugglers.

We were on top of the game and looking the most likely to score until he took Tettey off for Hoolahan at 2-3.

To be fair we've hit the post twice and had a good penalty appeal turned down while they've had 5 shots on target and 5 goals. Luck is not on our side today.

Poor decision-making from the manager it has to be said, trying to gamble his way out of a losing position. Hopefully it's a one off that he'll learn from.

Russell Martin nowhere to be seen.

Good when it's easy, crap when it's tough.

We were on top at 2-3, with just 60(ish) minutes gone, don't think he needed to rush into making an offensive change when we were controlling the game.

But we've been shambolic anyway, Newcastle have doubled their goal tally for the season today, 6 all season before today, 6 scored today.

And we now have the worst defensive record in the league, 20 conceded and no clean sheets.

Need to go back to the drawing board.

To be fair, this has been coming. With this back four we are always a few mistakes away from a hiding. Hopefully the entire board is there watching and will manage to find some real money for defenders in January, because without them, we are down.

Ah well, Man City away in a fortnight.

We can't cope with teams who counter attack, Leicester were too much for us on the break and now Newcastle have been too. Need to rethink, when's Mulumbu back?

Looking at the fixture list and West Brom at home suddenly looks like a must win, at very least a must not lose.
