Manager got it wrong.
I agree actually, I think his biggest mistake was not starting Redmond.

Its easy to say in hindsight that it wasn't the game for Wes, can't really predict that, but with Leicester pushing so high up the pitch at times I wonder whether Redmond would have given them a lot more to think about.

If Howson had started through the middle in replace of Dorrans or Wes, with Redmond on the right, I think that first half would have been a different story.

Did anybody else notice how frustrated Jerome was to be taken off too? Understandable as he often has an impact towards the end of games, I actually wonder whether we'll see the best of Jerome at this level when he isn't our number 1 striker but has been relegated to number 2 and is the one coming off the bench, sense a bit of pressure / frustration, and he's pretty much made a career out of being an impact sub.

Alex Neil is a quick learner though and we play every team twice, if Leicester are still setting up in the same way when we meet them next I think we'll see a different outcome. And there were positives to be taken from this game, mainly Mbokani's impact and goal.

The fact is that Leicester played exactly the way Neill has always said he wants us to play; fast, hard and high pressing with fluid passing.   If this match enables Neill to say to his players that this is what he wants from them then, it could be a milestone going forward.  They will certainly know how effective it is and how hard it is to play against.
Yep, I said that to, they beat us at our own game. Leicester in the first half actually looked like the benchmark for that style of play, they did what we've been doing this season that little bit better. Wouldn't swap our defence for theirs but they were very fluid and coherent going forward.

Jerome is a top player for us even when the going gets tough, he wants to be involved. But Vardy is something extra and I can see why he is in the England squad. He is Jerome with pace. And he did have support which halves the options he has to ponder. Poor old CJ was looking for someone but even Jarvis, playing in his natural position, showed too much for him. Second half and Redmond and Howson in his normal position were options for him.

But I think Mbokani deserves a chance to show his worth from the start.

He looked so dangerous when he came on, I think we may have the real deal here, although I did say similar after RVW scored on his debut.
