2016 Summer Prediction League: Week 1

For those that would like to participate and keep up on their prediction skills, this will be week 1 of the 2016 Prediction League.  I am not sure if there will be a prize this time around as it is a much shorter time frame.

The rules are the same as last season's and are as follows for a quick recap:

• Make a prediction for each match given.  Most should be from Euro 2016 and the Copa America. (Could be less than 6 as the summer wears on unless we tap into another league like the MLS, Olympics, or any other playing this summer. Feel free to give me your thoughts on doing this.)
• Points will be given as follows:2 points for a correct result (win for the correct team or a draw)
• 5 points for a correct result with the correct final score
• 1 point for either team's correct goal total (half of a correct result)
• Choose one of the matches to be worth double the points as your wildcard.  Just make sure to denote or mark which match is your wildcard, so points can be given accordingly.

[*]All predictions must be in prior to the respective match's start time.  I will try to pick matches that are Saturday and Sunday, but again we will have to be flexible with the summer schedule.
Hopefully that is clear as mud, but just in case here is a quick example.

        Prediction:  Cardiff 2-1 Fulham                           Result: Cardiff 1-1 Fulham

                         Leeds 2-0 Burnley **wc**                               Leeds 2-0 Burnley

This person would get 1 point for getting the Fulham goal total correct and 10 points from the second match since the score was correct and it was his or her wildcard, totaling to 11 points from these two matches.

I've got no issues with you picking some games from other events such as mls or olympics, seems like a good way to stretch out the summers games to me

I was looking at the olympic fixtures and see that the tournament runs from 4th to 20th august,  so starting at the same time as our new season.    So it doesnt seem to fit the summer league (although predicting either the mens or womens olympic results during the normal season could prove interesting!)

Err, sorry to be a bit crass but should I have received my prize by now ? If I'm not now getting anything that's fine, it's just there's a few things I want to order from Amazon ?
