Hi Thomas, I got your report regarding bad language. If you are just here to be a bit of an arse, I can quite easily remedy that for you.
Sorry palHi Thomas, I got your report regarding bad language. If you are just here to be a bit of an arse, I can quite easily remedy that for you.
So you were bothered about my bad language, so you reported me, to me.Sorry pal![]()
Maybe get back on topic, yeah?So you were bothered about my bad language, so you reported me, to me.
That is some spectacular joined up thinking...
1) we didn't have a team prepared and ready for the opening games. You are missing my point. We are never nailed on to stay up, we are never nailed on to be promoted. So working within our financial limitations, we are always having to mitigate risk. We can never really go balls out financially assuming we'll get promoted, and same applies in the league above, being in the yo-yo position means you have to buy players, who to some respect, suit two scenarios.
One of the problems we have with our lower budget is taking risks on players like Hayden who are cheaper because they're an injury risk. Limitations of our 'self funding' model!!!1) we didn't have a team prepared and ready for the opening games.
2) we've bought several players who 'are for the future' hoping that they come good.
Surely it's better to intersperse those signings with experience of playing in the league we're looking at.
For example Hayden has Premier League and Championship experience but it's been a rare occurrence for us to bring in a player who is fit for purpose (and yes he's still out injured).
So you buy one or two proper players to improve the first team rather than a big pile of hopefuls. One of the problems we have with our lower budget is taking risks on players like Hayden who are cheaper because they're an injury risk. Limitations of our 'self funding' model!!!
Limitation of our model. We have to buy players with resell value or take punts.....So you buy one or two proper players to improve the first team rather than a big pile of hopefuls.
I have no issue with us not being 100% ready, I'd rather we get the right players in, than get what is available within a certain timescale.1) we didn't have a team prepared and ready for the opening games.

Gunvald Larssen is a character in a series of 10 novels about the Swedish detective Martin Beck. Gunvald Larssen is Martin Beck's rather abrasive and aggressive colleague. Gunvald Larssen is the bad cop to Martin Beck's good cop. The books are excellent. The profile photo is of the Swedish actor Mikael Persbrandt who played Gunvald Larssen in a Swedish TV series called 'Beck'. Sadly, he left the series a few years ago.FAO Gunvald. As I am an old bugger living in the sticks in a furrin place, you will have to excuse my ignorance. I don't have a clue who this Gunvald is. I do humbly apologise for this, and will continue to refer to you as Cars ( Mr Cars ) Most likely a few of the young whippersnappers on here, don't have a clue what I'm maudling about. Anyhow,, please keep the reports and ratings flowing, also from you other good people
Thank you.FAO GIR. As Numan he talked a lot of sense and continues to do so. As far as I'm concerned he can call himself what he likes as long as good sense prevails.
