I was very hopeful about Adams, but him picking the diamond for that game has really undermined my confidence in him
On a serious note, I agree with most of your Snodgrass analysis - and have said much the same to most of my friends. His 'wrongfootedness' was a serious flaw in our attacking play last year. His constant need to cut back onto his left foot often resulted in our strikers being caught offside or resulted in his crosses failing to take advantage of decent off-the-ball movement (RvW). Personally, I think part of RvW's dismal record was a direct result of Snoddy on the right..Snodgrass is a useful player, but I dont think he is Premier League quality in a wing position.
No more than it was a result of Redmond on the left, two wingers who had to cut in onto their stronger foot, and neither of whom would go outside and whip in an out swinging cross. The only player who had the ability to go inside and out was Pilkington, who is genuinely ambidextrous. In the absence of a complete two footed winger (like Huckerby) we either need to play at least one winger on their correct side, or switch wingers throughout the course of a game. I didn't watch the game today Neyul, but 'sounded' like Redmond was cutting in for his long range pot shots again today?Personally, I think part of RvW's dismal record was a direct result of Snoddy on the right..
