Just seen on twitter, posted by somebody who I believe is actually a member here, that Elliott Bennett's family were racially abused by some of our own fans today. I hope that the club and police can identify whoever it was and see to it that they are both prosecuted and banned from Carrow Road for life.

I just saw Robin Sainty post this, I really hope it's not true.

Apparently one of ours was making monkey noises at a Wolves player and he was sat near Bennett's family. If anyone knows this person, name them and shame them.

Saw Robin Tweet that too, sadly if it comes from him then it's likely to be accurate.

I hope the morons get the book thrown at them.

These things often turn out to be misunderstandings. Don't rush to judgement.

In a stadium with 22,000 people in it of course you can. Tom Adeyemi was sure he heard racial abuse but it turned out that probably wasn't the case.

Sorry, that's rubbish. Racism does still happen. Stop making excuses for it.

You've already made a judgement based on twitter rumours. Get a grip.

Twitter "rumours" from people I trust not to make things up.

I have sent a tweet to McNally asking that he ensures these rumours are investigated by the club.

People you trust? Someone tweets that he has been told by another person that that person's friend heard unspecified racial abuse. And on that basis you're sure that someone is guilty? Do you have idea how the justice system works?

Sure we can all at least agree that we'd like the club to be investigating these claims, even if they amount to very little?

Actually, you are probably right Gaffer. I'm just very wary of racism being shouted down as a misunderstanding when these apes and their prehistoric views need to be stamped out.

However, hopefully more people saw the incident and can shed light on it to the club and the police.

I'm sure it will be properly investigated as every alleged incident of racism should be, but in any large fan base there is bound to be some racism. If proved, they should be banned.

Just to clarify as the person who tweeted, Mick Dennis came over to me as we stood outside the ground waiting for the rain to stop and told me that one of his party had witnessed an incident which involved racial abuse of Elliot's family. Mick was very upset (his words were "I could cry"). It now seems that the initial abuse was directed at the Wolves right winger but a scuffle then ensued involving Elliot's brother. Fortunately fans in the vicinity acted brilliantly to get the scumbag ejected.

While I fully accept the someone is innocent until proven guilty I wouldn't have tweeted unless I'd had corroboration. Sadly racism often hides behind "benefit of the doubt" and confusion, but there is no doubt whatsoever that there was racism here. At least its been exposed.

Good that this wannabee hero was ejected. There should now be a record of their details. Hope this is followed up
