What we need is what Bassong was at his best - experienced, reasonably quick to cover and block, and able to marshal the rest and keep them in position. At the moment they are thoroughly instructed by Adams & Co but once on the pitch they can get out of position and fail to see danger. I exempt Olsson from this, who I regard as far away our best defender at the moment.

Don't think we'll see one though given that Jerome has been thrown the No 10 squad number

Agree with Leeds, and even had the same thought about his getting the number 10. If no one else leaves (other than the 3 Bs),I'd be happy with the present squad.
