Stoke bid £5m for Redmond

To be honest, if he had scouts at Wolves and Carrow Road yesterday, that may have convinced him not to raise his bid. Very shaky start to the season by Nathan

Good news Surgeryman. (BTW, thanks for recommending this site on Not606, where I'm RiverEndRick, by the way).
Good to see your are enjoying this site RER. Not left N606 but do like the variety on here and a nice mix on PU and 606ers

Yesterday, Redmond's final delivery (whether that be shot, cross or through-pass) was dire.

Didn't look like a £5m player to me, let alone more.

We really need to find a way to improve his end product, and fast. Because then we will have one of the hottest prospects in England on our hands.

Until then........

It might hearten a few to know why Stoke did not sign Redmond (they didn't want to pay our price):

IMO, the Board has kept a reasonable balance after being relegated.

Really agree with this stance, you can't just gut the team of all its talent. Sticking with a young guy like Redmond who has a bright future is definitely the right thing to do.

On the other hand, I read this morning that Redmond has had 14 shots this season, which is the most in the Championship, but just one of them has been on target.

He'll come good, BarclayBoy. We just have to be a bit patient.

Oh absolutely. I have faith in the man and I'm delighted he is here!

I think he just needs to get that first goal and then we'll see a few more fly in.

(First goal this season_)

I see the Stoke chairman has said that Stoke met City's asking price for Redmond, but we refused to sell him. Good news.
