Stoke bid £5m for Redmond

I really wouldn't accept that, I think it's just frustration based on yesterdays performance. 

He's a young lad who was played out of position. I wouldn't listen until they raised that to closer to £10 million and if they don't then fair enough, they can look elsewhere.

I don't buy this played out of position, he spent most of the time on the wing yesterday anyway and created nothing, again, against a team that was in League 1 last season.

He can take players on but that is really it, he really really really needs to sort out his final ball, because it is dreadful. I mean, really diabolical. Probably would ask more than £5 million though, considering his potential and international record.

£5m is peanuts for a player of his potential. At the moment he seems to be going backwards though, he needs to be played on the right for a bit to stop him cutting inside and dragging his shot wide of the near post every bloody time. My main concern is that now he's a bigger fish in a smaller pond (league!),he'll try to take it on himself to make things happen even more, and end up getting more frustrating to watch and more frustrated within himself.

£5 million is nothing in the current market. When Fulham spent £11 million on McCormack, everyone's price shot up.

Played out of posistion and yes some of his crosses and shots have been woeful at times, didn't the pundits yesterday state that he took more shots last season than any other Norwich player? Even Earnie needed about 20 shots a game to score 1 and look how many he scored in his career. At least Redmond does try and in a team last season which were short on creativity and goals, atleast he gave it ago. The boy has raw talent and given the confidence to try these shots it surely will come good for him. I just hope it's in a Norwich shirt

His mazy runs are deceptively impressive because he has no end product. TBH I don't see any prospect at all of us getting promoted this season so it's probably in his interests to move on now and I can't see his price increasing if we keep hold of him and end the season in mid table.

The problem is then who do we have with an end product? I would rather have a young lad who can get pass players with ease and try regually to either cross or shoot and miss alot but on the odd occasion might score or set up a goal, than a team passing sideways and backwards and getting 1 decent shot in a game. Someone like Remond excites fans with his fast mazy runs and a i said in the previous post, give him the confidence to try the shots it will come. We know he can score and set up goals, he has done so for England U21's

It's easy enough to say sell him for £5m, but what would we be likely to get for that even if all the money went into the transfer budget? Redmond will improve with experience. Hughes sees that. So should we.

For £5M Stoke would have a bargain. In two years time I can see one of the big clubs paying four or more times that to land him.

£5m is not enough. If I were Redmond seeing the whole "rushed decision in 24 hours" thing, it doesn't sound like they're that bothered about him. If it were anyone Everton or up i'd understand the tactic but it's only Stoke! Redmond could probably do better than that in January and go to a team that actually wants him properly or even better stick it out with us.
