It's Character Forming

Just back from the game. What a rollercoaster. At 1-1 Hudds were time wasting and we looked like we'd get the winner, then somehow they got a goal, Vaughan is sent off and somehow we were able to snatch a draw, yet with the chances we had it should've bern a comfortable win.

Showed amazing character to not give up after conceding so late I the game.

Frustrating to see Watford top when you think how much better than them we were.

Not over yet...

I wasn't at the game but I listened to it on the radio and from what I can gather Huddesfied parked the bus in front of goal and were quite happy for City to have the ball in two thirds of the pitch, is that football? How Huddesfield players reacted to BJs goal when the Ref and

his assistant were running back to the centre circle was a disgrace as they mentioned on the radio what if JR and the team went and talked to the assistant on Saturday would they have disallowed Derbys goal. There is so much wrong with the game now!

Was out all last night so wasn't able to watch/listen to the game, and I have to say I'm pretty glad I didn't. Might heart only just managed to get through listening to the Charlton and Blackburn away games, I'd probably be in hospital right now if I'd listened to the final few minutes of this game.

Loved Alex Neil's comments after the game, when asked whether he was a little bit proud of the fact that we conceded in the 95th minute and still managed to get a point, he said "No, we should've won the game". 8 massive games left now starting this Saturday against an in-form Forest team. No doubt that'll be a tough game, but we need to win it. Only 1 win from our last 4 now after a very good run, and we're starting to lose ground on the top 2.

Buzzing for Jamar Loza though. Seems like a nice lad, and what incredible circumstances to get his first goal in. Hopefully the first of many.

Speaking for myself, it isn't negativism I'm feeling, but realism. We do still have a chance but it's less than it was before this match. We hoped, not unnaturally, that we would close the gap by beating Huddersfield, or at least keep it the same. Instead, it has stretched from 3 points to 5 points. That's not the end of the world, but it does mean that our task has become much harder.

Our last four matches are DDWL, which is hardly inspiring form for overtaking a 5 point deficit. With those above us facing challenging matches on Saturday, things could change in our favour again should we beat Forest, but if we don't, things will become tougher still. Let's hope it's the former and we close the gap.

Considering how often the top spot has been changing this season I'm almost certain that being top now is not a good thing in the grand scheme.

Worth remembering that 8 games ago the table looked like this:

1. Middlesbrough 59
2. Bournemouth 58
3. Derby 58
4. Ipswich 54
5. Watford 53
6. Brentford 52
7. Norwich 50
8. Wolves 48

So even though there is just 8 games to go, it is far from decided, and positions will undoubtedly change between now and May 2nd.
