Didn't catch all of the press conference earlier (am on night shift) but the gist from Farke was that he doesn't want to change too much, and he wants to win the game.

Sounds like Martin may not make it, and I reckon we will see more of Hoolahan's step up to full fitness. Will be interesting to see if Oliviera starts.

I expect a fairly comfortable win, because we're always great in cups :D

I'd expect to see Wes, Ivo and Josh all to be involved tonight as they need some minutes, wouldn't be surprised to see either McGovern or Matthews start in goal, hoping for a good performance and expect a reasonably comfortable win, I'll go 3-1 city

No Oliveira, not even on bench ....
I guess we'll find out in the next few days whether it was Farke saying "F*ck you, I'm the boss" or Oliveira saying "F*ck you, I'm going to Wolves".

Or both.

It does make me wonder whether this is all about him being refused a move / his agent filling his head with stuff.

I hope we've got a replacement lined up just in case

The FA really need to look into the relationship Jorge Mendes has with Wolves and look at changing the rules.

It would be illegal for Wolves to tap up a player without being given permission to speak to that player by their club.... but Wolves appear to have got around this by appointing Mendes as their 'club agent', and of course he can't be stopped from advising his own players (including Nelson Oliviera).

A clear vested interest when it comes to a player in the same league as them, and I'm sure if Oliviera forces a move to Wolves things would get very nasty and potentially end up in the High Court or in front of FIFA or something?

Obvious solution would be for agents to either have a license to represent players or a license to represent a club, and never be entitled to both at the same time?

Didn't go to or even listen to the Swindon game, so only going off the highlights here so could be well off, but Vrancic looked as if he had a bit of a stinker, with Maddison being the polar opposite. Think his link-up to Wes, similarly to Pritchard, could really flourish in a Farke side that likes to play football. Also thought Gunn could've done slightly better for both goals? Particularly the 1st one? Made a great double save though in the 2nd half.

Anyway as I said I didn't watch or even listen to it. Still feeling optimistic going into our first league home game on Sunday!
