This is it now, bravo win or die. Lose this and the faintest glimmer of hope is extinguished.

We need the second half performance from last night.

Hooge buh, hooge.

It could be a disaster or a triumph .... it all depends on which Canaries turn up ... the team that can really trouble opponents ... or the one that rolls over and lets the opposition kick them around.

Fourth away day of the season for me, and by far the most important one. This, undoubtedly, is now the last chance saloon. Burnley have lost today, Everton are a mess, Watford are shit and Leeds at the moment are truly falling apart again. If we don't get 3 points and put ourselves well and truly back in the survival scrap then that is us done for the season. Absolutely massive game.

Goes without saying but if we play our best players we'll cause them problems. I swear if when the line-ups are announced tomorrow we see McLean and Gilmour in midfield I'm going to be furious. We have to start with 3 from Normann, Rupp, PLM or Sorenson in the middle, and Rashica has to be in from the beginning. I also thought Kabak had a very good game against Chelsea so wouldn't be against seeing him in the starting XI again. I'd go with:

Krul
Aarons Hanley Kabak Williams
Rupp Normann PLM
Sargent Pukki Rashica
I continue to have a terrible record when attending away games, haven't seen us win one in over 10 years now and we've lost all 3 I've been to so far this season, so yeah, sorry everyone :D I honestly though have no idea how this is going to go, but I don't have a particularly good feeling.

That's the team I would go with. Gilmour and McLean have contributed very little. Also, let someone else take free-kicks and corners (PLM perhaps) as Gilmour's are poor.

You're not too far away, obviously you've left out Kenny McPassenger and Hanley has covid.
How could you have left out Mr Pointy Man?

Handley Covid, other 2, knocks I think....................not that it made any difference. My goodness do we need a clear-out, from board to bench, trouble is we can't afford any decent replacements.

Championship here we come ... another awful showing from NCFC today in a match that featured some very poor refereeing, inc VAR ... we should have had a first half penalty and Bamford was offside for their 1st goal according to the rules but, hey ho, it's only Norwich ... VAR got it right with the 2nd half penalty but overall the officials let Leeds get away with murder ... a virtual re-run of last Saturday v Brentford ... we were poor and were lacking in street smarts ... although we deserved nothing from the game it was so disappointing to lose it that way after the 10 minutes fight-back.

The annoying thing is that we're not even adrift, 3 or 4 points could see us back in it. It is like death by a thousand cuts, slow and painful. Most fans already resigned, but it will drag on.

Didn't see anything today. didn't know the score, until a few minutes ago, having just read a couple of reports, I'm glad that I decided not to bother. All enthusiasm is draining away from me. Watched a Romanian game, it was hilarious, but at least I was not bothered by the crap display like normal

Embarrassingly predictable. Just when you think that our season couldn't get much worse it sinks to a new low every time. The fact is we didn't deserve anything. Could've and should've been 3 or 4 goals down by the time we somehow nicked an equaliser. All we have to do from that point is not act completely incompetently for the next few minutes and we would've stolen a point away from home against a relegation rival; still probably not good enough to keep us up but it would've at least been something. Then, wouldn't you know, we put together an absolutely calamitous passage of defensive play and manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of a result. Did Gibson and Williams celebrate our equaliser by each downing a pitcher of Punk IPA before the game restarted? That's the only way I can explain their defending in the move that led to the winning goal. I'm so sick of it man. I just want this season to be over already, as Morty says it's like death by a thousand cuts. Survival is always within our grasp yet we all know that we're not gonna be able to reach it. Even now I'm looking at the table and part of me is thinking that we're not actually any further off safety than we were before this game, and that if we can just put a couple of wins together we'll probably be outside the bottom 3, but I know that we're just not capable of it. Eughhhh.

Pukki really was the only one who came out with any credit. Tries his best and he did brilliantly for the goal, but he is just given a winless task playing as a lone striker. Rowe was also exciting off the bench and certainly added a bit of impetus. I'd definitely like to see him start next time out. The rest, just crap. I'm sorry to say it but Kenny McLean is dogshit. Shouldn't be anywhere near the starting XI at Premier League level yet somehow is viewed as undroppable by Smith and even Farke before him. He slows the play down every single time he gets the ball, is constantly giving it away, get him out the team. Rashica had his worse game in a yellow shirt. A couple of nice runs from Williams in the second half aside the backline didn't have a single composed moment all game. PLM and Rupp as a midfield two were far too lightweight and easy to bypass. It was torturous to watch. I actually went to leave as soon as Leeds scored the winner, but literally couldn't get out because the stairs were blocked by a group of our own fans fighting each other and the stewards having to separate them. Says it all really.

Can't even be arsed to get into the officiating or VAR. It's consistently fucking awful. Bamford was offside and interfering with play for the first goal and Ayling somehow escapes a red card for going in studs up on Rashica in the first half. But hey, that's just part of being Norwich City in the Premier League nowadays. It's infuriating but right now I think we could have every single dodgy VAR decision go our way and we still wouldn't be close to staying up.

Final thing I will say is that the atmosphere at Elland Road was fantastic, as good as I've ever experienced at an away ground. There was even fun in the away end at half-time when the lights in the toilets went out and in the pitch black everyone started singing "We're Norwich City, we'll shit in the dark". That really was as fun as it got though. We're a complete mess right now. Feels like all the good work that has been done behind the scenes in the last few years is starting to unravel. I've never been in the 'Delia Out' camp, but I am really starting to feel like now that unless something changes at a boardroom level we're never going to compete in this league.

Another game where McLean got caught in possession. It's seemingly become something he does every game now where he dwells on the ball and ends up trying to dribble out of trouble because he hadn't thought ahead with his passing. Annoyingly it only seems to happen in our own half.

Good players don't get caught like that. They move the ball. I also think it's a result of complacency.

Thanks Din. seems as though you enjoyed your day. Mine was ok, as I couldn.t be bothered, I cooked a nice dinner and watched a strange game of Romanian football. I was a neutral, so no problem with me laughing at what was going on. Stressless. I am 77, why do I need to bother about Norwich City, they certainly can't be arsed

Could have written most of that myself GIR! I can't be bothered anymore, age almost the same, don't need the stress, useless owners, PL is crap, don't ever want to be in it again, NCFC is now crap, with the odd exception players are crap, football itself has become a joke and not worth watching. I think FF has the right idea watching the amateur game.

I honestly believe you should stick with Deano - I’ll be honest I really don’t think many neutrals expected you to stay up even with the manager change.
I have a very soft spot for NCFC and as a Villan also for Deano so I was really hoping it would work.
Put it like this, you could have that useless dinosaur Bruce in charge.
When Deano took over from Kebab man, he changed the whole demeanour of the club and took us on a great run, culminating in promotion.
He will do the same with you, I have no doubts about this.
Then the perennial problem arises - will you have the wherewithal to really make a fist of staying in the prem?
If you can just manage that first season then who knows - but clubs of your stature ( no disrespect intended I genuinely see you as my second club) will always face that uphill struggle against the wealthier clubs
