I think this on the telly? Am away in Norway so won't see it. So, a home game against an in form Villa, on the telly. What could possibly go wrong?

Yes it concerns me that we are playing a side with something to play for, but right now you just never know with this City side, one minute giving Chelsea a good game and then just as you think things are progressing a total capitulation at QPR.

I hate it when the atmosphere changes, tomorrow could be the day. I can’t make the game tomorrow which means we’ll probably win 4-0. I’ve predicted the opposite though just in case :)

Trybull & Tettey together = Good form

Either one of those injured = Bad form

Makes not one but two good defensive midfielders a must in the summer, and I'd argue it also supports not taking Harrison Reed again (unless he wants to convert into a right back full time, which looking at his stature I think would probably be a good idea! I actually think there is a very good full back in there somewhere).

By the way.... 8 wins, 6 draws and 4 defeats in games that Tom Trybull has started this season.

All 4 defeats came when Tettey were injured.

Its an astonishing statistic and I hope its something that Webber and Farke have noticed.

It means that we need a good defensive midfielder to replace Reed (Morsy?) and it is also probably an argument for improving the offer made to Tettey, perhaps promising him very good money when he's fit to play.

Another one..... just 12 goals conceded in the 18 games started by Trybull

Signing of the season. Next season we need better backup in that position.

Send Farke and Webber the stats Canaryboy, it's time they saw some sense in black and white.

Got a bit more riding on this as my flatmate is a Villa fan, and is coming to the game. Cardiff are playing Wolves tonight, and then Villa on Tuesday and my mate at the moment is getting excited that if they beat us and then Cardiff they'll be 1 point off Cardiff in 2nd. So I'd love us to get a result here and end their automatic hopes :D

I went to the reverse fixture, which is the only away game I've been to this season, and even though we've been served some crap at Carrow Road I have no doubt in saying that that Villa game was the worst performance I've seen live since Farke came in. Made worse by the fact I had to sit in a Villa pub after the game with loads of delighted Brummies.

No Hernandez again which is a shame, Leitner will be back in the squad but not able to start, but good news that he should be able to play a part. I don't particularly like us playing 5 at the back at home but considering how shambolic we've been defensively in recent games I don't think it'd be the worse thing we could do. If I was picking the team I'd probably go for:

Gunn
Pinto Hanley Zimmermann Lewis
Tettey Reed Vrancic
Edwards Maddison
Srbeny

Subs: McGovern, Klose, Husband, Leitner, Hoolahan, Murphy, Oliveira
Wouldn't surprise me if Klose came in for Zimmermann after our defensive shambles against QPR. Would like to see Edwards get a start as well. Tettey simply has to come back in, and it's going to be a real test for Srbeny playing against Chester and Terry, so if he can impress here it'll be a really good sign.

No result would surprise me with us any more, but I don't expect anything other than a loss here. At the very least I expect a response to that embarrassing performance last week.

Which Zimmermann would Klose come in for, the one in the team or the one on the bench ? ;)

FFS, just logged on to ifollow to see if the stream was working.... over an hour after it finished.

And was going to go to a non-league game today, but decided at 2pm to watch Norwich instead. What a plonker.

Now a wasted Saturday.

Also, was inevitable that somebody I called shit the other day was going to score.

was a cracking performance, particularly the second half, confidence was flying throughout the team after that Murphy strike, I feel Vrancic may go unnoticed today but thought he had a superb game.

3 points very well deserved, and just goes to show what we can do if we up the tempo a bit

oh and here's the Murphy goal for any that have't seen it

Fantastic result and a great performance but truly bizarre after what we saw at the QPR game!
