I'd be going for something like this:

Rudd

Pinto, Klose, Bassong, Olsson

Tettey

Redmond, Howson, Brady

Naismith

Jerome

Let's hope the ghost of Luis doesn't make an appearance.

Surely Jarvis on the left wing and Brady at left back.

Howson right midfield & Vadis centrally with McBarney up top.

On bench Martin, Olsson, Mulumbu and Dorrans for defensive options, Wessi, Redders and Jerome for attacking options.

We're unbeaten in our last 5 home league games, winning 3 of them. Whereas Liverpool have lost all of their last 4 away games in the league. Therefore this'll be an easy home win I should think.

On a serious note though this is actually a pretty big game (although practically every game is from now on). This is certainly winnable but is not going to be easy. Can't claim to have seen much of Liverpool under Klopp so don't know whether they've been improved since Rodgers left or not, but at the game at Anfield earlier in the season we certainly competed very well and came out with a well earned point, so no reason why we can't at least match them again.

Team:

Rudd
Pinto Bennett Klose Olsson
Redmond Howson Tettey Brady
Naismith
Mbokani

Subs: Ruddy, Martin, Mulumbu, Odjidja, Jarvis, Hoolahan, Jerome.

No doubt in my mind that all 3 new signings should come in, just a case of who for. I personally would drop Bassong over Bennett, although I imagine Neil will drop Bennett. Odjidja I think would be better used as a number 10, but with Hoolahan and Naismith ahead of him I don't think there's much chance of that happening, so if he can't play there from the start I'd prefer to see him as an impact sub and Redmond on the wing. Brady has made too many mistakes recently at left back so would sooner see Olsson at left back. Hoolahan was poor against Bournemouth and I'd like to see Naismith from the start.

No idea what the score will be to be honest. However with Suarez no longer around there's a chance we might concede less than 5. We need to bounce back after the Bournemouth game though as after Swansea's win we're only 2 points above the drop zone.

I would go with three man midfield and I dont think Naismith should start as he probably has only one training day under his belt. Pinto and Klose should be ready for stary and mainly just because we need to wake up at defence.

Pinto - Bennett - Klose - Olsson

Howson - Tettey - Dorrans/Mulumbu

            Redmond   -     Brady

                      Jerome

Redmond and Brady can do some damage in free role and Jerome can press their defence. If we tail after 60 minutes throw Naismith, Mbokani and Hoolahan/ Jarvis in place of Jerome, Redmond/Olsson, Mulumbu/Dorrans and change it to version of Diamond.

win twice as many points starting with redmond than without.   For this game I would go

                    Rudd

Pinto  Bassong Klose Brady

         Tettey  Mulumbu

VOO   Naismith       Howson

                Jerome

At the back defensive changes are needed;  but would resist the urge to pick olsson;   its easy to be deceived by Bradys two goals at the far post;  however his general defensive peformance shave been far better than olssons and his attacking use of the ball far stronger.  Its not like olssons niover gone missing for a far post conceded goal is it?   Tome for the new guys to stamp their authority

Liverpool exploit the gap between midfield and defence,  so two protectors are needed;   Howson never impresses that deep and wastes his ball carry ability (his real strength) Mulumbu was poor against Citeh but he is a better physical presence (Dorrans a real option esp as his use of the ball is better than mulumbus) So gets my nod.

Howsons looking better since his bench rest and deserves his start;  Naismith walks straight into the side as befits a record signing & most of the week to train against his old enemy;  VOO only just hangs on to his place, his grip of charlie daniels shirt & inept defensive show should cost him his place for redmond (so I wont be disappointed to see him dropped) but I am prepared to give him another shot.

Jerome works the back line harder than mbokani when they are in possession and that is key to him starting this week for me.

Subs bench of Ruddy, Martin, Olsson, Wes, Mbokani & Redmond give a very strong subs bench.    Bennett unlucky to miss out but Martins extra positional flexibility wins out.

I am nervous about introducing both pinto and klose together, neither with prem experience. I think I would leave pinto on bench for this one and leave Martin in for now. Back 4 of martin, bennett, klose, olsson for me. i wpuld  love to see Naismith start, with Jerome on front.

Can't agree with keeping martin.  And don't get prem experience on the bench. Nor do you plan to change back 4.   Sooner they play together the better for me

Press conference :-

Pinto and Naismith in the squad, Alex will make a late call on Klose, not a fitness problem, but he has to adapt to the pace. And Klose has brought his own style, they are looking at different combinations.

Sounds like Alex isn't sure which CB to drop!

Just two training session is hard to assess who he works best with I guess..

I suspect this is a keep liverpool guessing moment;   hoping he does start.   Glimpses of a sense of humour from Klose too.
