You would be surprised just how often journos tap into places like this for a bit of fan opinion. I have seen stuff in the press that has literally been repeated, word for word, from forums.

Really hope this is true, really good player, him and Tettey would dominate our midfield.

Why dont we test the theory?  ^_^

Anyone reckon they could start a convincing new thread with a completely fabricated rumour to see if we can hook a journo?!

Tettey's obviously had a fantastic season but his fitness is questionable, therefore another defensive midfielder was probably needed, and Mulumbu fits the bill quite nicely. Free transfer, a lot of Premier League experience, and above all a pretty good footballer. Will be happy with this assuming it all comes off.

Very happy with this.

Free transfer, good prem experience, and at 28, has several years at the top of his game left.

18 months ago he was being linked with Arsenal and Liverpool and we get him on a free!

This is a post by a West Brom fan:

Fasten ya seat belt and get ready for the one man wrecking ball.

Just one thing, let the dog of the leash, dont waste him in that screening role in front of the back four were he needs to be more disciplined, a job he can do but is clearly wasted in doing.Let him dictate from the middle of the park with his high octane non stop all action combative style, he will drive the game for you from box to box and make no mistake he will.

The ultimate competitor, a player capable of beating into submission any opposition central midfield pairing he comes up against.

You will absolutely love him and so will your fellow feathered friends.

Forget Dozza, you have just upped the anti ten fold in signing Mulumbu.
High praise indeed. 'Dozza' means Dorrans.

If this fan is to be believed perhaps he isn't just competition for Tettey, but actually a player who can do the box-to-box job that Leroy Fer was supposed to do?
