Apparently we had a bid rejected for Massimo Luongo before the transfer deadline. Australian International midfielder, although never heard of him myself.

He's considered a decent prospect back home. Our current national manager, Postecoglou, rates him highly. Signed for Spurs as a kid, but I've never seen much of him myself.

He made our World Cup for Brazil, but never got any game time.

Only other thing of note was that he has spent time down the A140 on loan at one point.

I had a quick google and saw comparisons with Bresciano, so gathered he was highly rated.

Swindon fans wouldn't have been happy if they'd sold two talented young midfielders to us in the same window, so wonder whether there could still be business to be done at a later date?

He's playing for Australia right now - at Craven Cottage v Saudi Arabia. Australia 2-0 up after 10. He's looked very lively so far!

Streams are available from all the regular places if anyone is interested enough, however I can only find commentary in Arabic.

Come on guys. It has to be better than watching that England team of yours!

Ahhh Bresciano. What a player. Absolute beast. Shame many here won't know him, as he always earnt his trade in Italy.

I think he would have reveled in the English game...

Also owner of the best goal I'd ever seen for Australia...... that is until Cahil's strike against Holland in Brazil.

Here is his match rating from Australian Media for last night. He was the best player on the field last night.

Massimo Luongo 8

Playing in the ‘No.10 role was the Socceroos’ best player on his first start in the Green and Gold. Got into good areas and produced some silky touches in tight areas. Combined well with Cahill. Given a superb ovation when replaced with just 12 minutes to go.
