Another one from Twitter this morning, from some of the transfer accounts.

Apparently we are interested in signing Laurent Ciman who currently plays for Standard Liege.

I can't say as I've ever heard of him, although he does have 8 caps for Belgium. He's a 28 year old centre back, just over 6 feet tall. Made 131 appearances in four years for Liege, so he stays healthy and consistently gets into the team.

Pink Un have just reported that Norwich "run the rule" over Ciman now. I'd be surprised if we get him but it would be an excellent and much needed signing.

He's in the squad for their Champions League game tomorrow, so doesn't look as though anything is close.

I also can't see  this one happening, though the Pink'un has now picked it up as well. Be a great signing as he can play CB and RB, but why would he drop down to the Championship?

but why would he drop down to the Championship?

He's 28 and might want to test himself in a country with a better standard of football. I don't see any Premier League clubs wanting to take a risk on him so it would make sense.

Although I do agree that this is probably just sime journo/agent spin.
