Kasabian - Brighton Centre - 26 November 2014

This was Kasabian at their absolute best.

Now I was a little less enthused about the Velociraptor tour in 2012. Possibly because I saw it was at the O2 and even having good seats I was still a distance away so not so easy to make the connection. However I guess Brighton is at the smaller end of the large arenas which gives the benefit of being large enough but yet still delivers closeness. It could have been made for them.

This is the 48:13 tour and the album is well 48mins 13secs long. They did not play it all so plenty of room on the setlist for the older stuff. They did not disappoint. All the big anthems and favourites were there. This is Kasabian heaven.

High octane and high energy from start to finish. Tom and Sergio worked the audience as only they can. "Effin Ands" were thrust in the air whenever Tom demanded, and "people jumped higher than they have ever jumped before" at Sergio's urging. OK it was less frenzied up in the seats but I still left feeling 30 years younger!

I've got tickets for Brixton next Thursday, could definitely do with shedding 30 years.
