A Norwegian guy on Twitter has mentioned him alongside Vadis as someone we're about to sign. Plays for Falkirk so might be a 2+2=5 scenario regarding old Three Lungs, but thought I'd chuck it out there anyway...

Kenneth A. Gausen ‏@kennethgausen 1h

Norwich holder på å hente to spillere som jeg aldri har hørt om.Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe(25) fra Club Brugge og Conor McGrandles(18) fra Falkirk

Translates as: "Norwich is about to pick up two players that I've never heard of. Vadis Odjidja-Ofoe (25) from Club Brugge and Conor McGrandles (18) from Falkirk."

I don't actually use Twitter other than to search for things - anyone know if this guy is 'in the know'?

It's interesting as Conor progressed through the Falkirk ranks and into the first team while Holt was there and as an 18 year old lad, having made 62 first team appearances is pretty impressive. May be someone putting two and two together but makes sense that we would try and pick up some really promising youngsters from teams our coaches are familiar with.

Apparently Sky Sports are reporting that a fee has been agreed. I checked their forum.

If Holty thinks he'd fit in here then I think he'll probably fit in down here.

Falkirk fans seem to think that the price is £1m.

Their local paper is saying that we face competition from Aston Villa http://www.falkirkherald.co.uk/sport/falkirk-fc/interest-increases-in-bairns-midfielder-1-3521392

Many of their fans are saying that he is the most talented youngster they have ever seen at Falkirk, and he didn't play for them last night (they had a game). He is apparently coming down to Norwich today to 'have a look', which will probably involve a medical.

Seems as though it could well be a very busy day for Norwich in the transfer market, if Vadis and Conor are here for Medicals, could have a few announcements ahead of the Bournemouth game.

This player is another midfielder, if both of our rumoured signings go through then it looks likely that Surman is off back to Bournemouth?

McGrandles is clearly one for the future so I can't see him coming in because someone is going out. Having said that I think Surman will be off as he clearly wants regular football.

Transfermarkt have him rated at £132k, and he is primarily a rw but can play more central.

Seems very well thought of in Falkirk. Not sure how he will shape up in the Champs but does seem to be another exciting young prospect.

A very Lambert-esque piece of business, this. Seems as if they're gutted to see him go:

From a Falkirk fan that knows him very well - "He can play on the wing but best suited to behind a striker or an attacting centre mid"

Sounds like an exciting youngster. Some have said he's the most exciting young talent in Scotland.

Perfect low-cost addition to the squad, and AMC is an expensive position to fill with established players.

Is he our new Hoolahan (for when his legs start to fail him?!!)

Hope so!

Well worth a gamble at that age, reminds me of when we signed Lappin, the St Mirren supporters were reacting in a very similar way to Falkirk supporters are now, and we've had the third lunged one himself overviewing his progress recently.  Perfect :)

For me, doesn't matter where they come from if they're loved and the supporters wishing him the best you're normally on to a good thing.

Adams just had a little +1 symbol flash above his head Final Fantasy style. ;)

Adams' view, presumably briefed by Holt, is very interesting:

"He's a dynamic, combative player who can be used anywhere across the midfield, and he's already played plenty of games so he has the ability to compete at senior level."

That sounds like his future may be sooner than later.

I wonder that once he's settled into his temporary accommodation in sleepy Norfolk, If Holt will smash his head through the bathroom door as he's showered, and exclaims 'Shining' style - 'Holty's Here!'   :)

Now that would be a welcome back on your first day in training.

From what is coming out of Carrow Road it sounds as though he will be a direct competitor for Wes. A place that has needed filling for a couple of years now. I did believe Butterfield was going to be that person, but maybe his injury was too bad, in which case, why did we buy him?

Guessing this thread can now be moved to the 'current players' forum. Hoping that the Darth Vadis thread follows it there later today... :)
