Anthony Pilkington for Lee Chung-Yong

Two good operators both hampered by injuries...one consistent niggles and knocks, the other a severe injury which would impact both confidence and physical ability.

Personally I think Pilks has long shown he can't hack the pace as talented as he is, but a once-quality damaged Korean is not the answer.

Regardless I would love this to happen. I personally think LCY is a fantastic player and Pilks can't stay on the pitch so it makes perfect sense to me. Also gives us a little marketing ability in Asia.

He's played 92 games in the last two seasons. He is not "hampered" by injuries. Would be a good move for us I think.

I've never been a fan of Pilkington. He goes missing so often during games that I sometimes wonder if he's fitted with a cloaking device. Maybe his talents are better suited for another team & I think a swap for LCY would be a good deal for us.

If it was to happen it would show Adams has faith in Murphy as Chung Yong Lee seems to play more through the middle now.

Lee does not score many goals though, he does get a few assists however. I would still like to see a fully fit Pilks start behind the strikers tbh, he is quality with both feet so could be quite deadly in that position in front of goal which is what Hoolahan lacks.

Know nothing of Lee, but Pilks hasn't really be on form since a series of injuries. Just can't see him reaching the heights he reached under Lambert, so wouldn't mind seeing him move on.

Yeah it's a shame about Pilks, he's genuinely two-footed and has no small amount of flair. This is a great deal though, Lee is a quality player who will really add something to our attacking pack!

Id often wondered if Pilks was the answer to the Number 10 problem. As you say genuinely two footed so able to shoot no matter how his body is set in that area, and as we know from his first season with us, really has an eye for goal. His injury record and inconsistency is disappointing, but to use a cliche, on his day he is our best player

I think the main problem with him playing in that #10 role is the fact he'll come into contact with big central defenders and combative defensive midfielders more often, as he is made of glass he'll probably do wonders for 60 minutes before being rul;ed out for 3 months.
