If we get a decent sum, I'm not unhappy with this. Got an easy ride last year because RVW was here, but his all round game was worse.

Yeah, just like Kris Boyd - SPL's all-time leading scorer. If he can score goals at Celtic he can score in the Championship
I can't honestly see a figure as high as this. I suspect that Celtic were slightly surprised at how much the very obsessed Hughton persuaded our club to pay. One season with us in the Prem didn't do much to enhance the player's reputation. Granted that he had a bad start injury-wise, and he was our top-scoring striker (not saying much) and making allowance for playing under Hughton, he is still an unknown quantity.Rumour is that we will look for around £7 million, but I really wouldn't like to see him go. If he did, wouldn't accept anything under £5 million with add-ons.
Not completely unbelievable though is it, was only 13 months ago that Gary Hooper was in London negotiating a contract with Harry Redknapp after they'd agreed a £5m fee with Celtic, with Redknapp even telling the media that the deal was done and Hooper admitting that he was very close to signing when we came in at the last minute.I'm surprised so many people are biting on this 'London journo speculation' that two London teams are fighting over Hooper. There is nothing whatsoever to support it and it makes no sense that City would sell him for £5m. Fantasy journalism full stop.
London24 actually interviewed Warnock yesterday and he did not even mention Hooper.
