£4m is still a huge fee for a player who can't get a start for Bolton though, and if 10% is still the standard signing on fee then it is crazy that a player who is essentially League 1 standard got a £400k payday.

I just had a look and he's started and finished 14 games in the 2 years since we signed him, across three different clubs. So that's games he has started and not been subbed off in.

We never really got going today but still won which is a good sign. My man of the match was Steipermann.

I didn't say anything earlier in the season because I remember how Norwich fans were with Ian Henderson who was a genuine talent at around the time when we had a conveyor belt of piss poor kids getting games for us, but I wasn't initially convinced that Todd Cantwell was anything special.... I'm at the stage now where I've realised that he is the real deal... he's really coming on now.

Jamal Lewis didn't have the best game of his career did he, but I suppose we were going to be shaky at the back with three youngsters + Zimmermann who is still learning himself, shows how important it is to have an experienced calm head like Hanley or Klose providing leadership and direction at the back. Really hope this isn't Klose's final season with us.

Also for Pukki to get almost everything wrong when he wasn't being anonymous but then pop up with yet another winner like that shows his true class, mark of a top striker and in my opinion suggests that he could potentially cut it in the league above this.

To be fair, Todd had a good season in Holland by all accounts.

He needs to get better in the final third. He gets in some great positions but there's often a real lack of conviction. If he adds a bit more killer instinct to his game he can go a real long way.

Think he only played half a dozen games for them, and I wasn't very impressed by the standard when watching extended highlights of a game that he scored in over there to be honest.... looked like a hybrid of League 1 and League 2, it is the second tier of a second rate league really.... Wildschut was a regular starter in the Eredivisie (top tier) but can't get a starting place in a poor Championship side for context.

But with his well taken goal and an assist against Rotherham and his ball into the box which caused problems and led to the Pukki winner on Saturday and it feels like he is developing an end product now.

I do think that Max Aarons is the greater talent, although that probably says more about how far I think Aarons can go than any Jamal Lewis limitations. Aarons is fearless, his rise is remarkable.... he's still 18!

I suspect there isn't a single club in the Premier League who hasn't noticed Max Aarons to be honest, I just hope we go to the Premier League with him before he goes with someone else.
