When we played Middlesboro in the league just before we went to Wembley I went for a curry with friends, and actually remember virtually nothing about the game where they scored early then shithoused for about 80 minutesAnimal or utilising alcohol to improve our performance? News from the presser :-
Marley Watkins available. Pritchard another week on. Jamal Lewis and Alex Tettey back in training, tomorrow too early for them, but both should be available for (dirty) Leeds. Farke enthusiastic about Lewis, saying he is looking sharp, and he may even consider throwing him into the squad tomorrow.
Tom Trybull fully available, as is Cameron Jerome. Farke is of the opinion that Trybull's injury may well have given him a well earned rest and he is confident he can find his earlier season form.
Naismith back in training, may get some time with the U23's this week. Only real absentee is Husband.
On Oliviera, he wants to see a real shift from him tomorrow.
Certainly a bit more positive than recent weeks!

Shame Tettey isn't able to return yet, but it will be good to have Trybull back and rested though. I would go with:
Can't see us getting a win here, seeing as we just can't buy three points at the moment and Sheffield Wednesday are unbeaten in their last 7. I have a rule that I don't bet on Norwich games but I'm so certain we won't be turning our form around here that I've put Sheffield Wednesday to win as part of my acca for this week. Won't mind though if this game lets my bet down though!

Harsh to drop Reed because I thought he was one of our best players last week, but if Trybull is fit then for me he has to play. Doubt Farke will start Wildschut either to be fair. Need to see better from Nelson, and Josh if he plays. Great stuff. There wasn't actually a huge amount wrong with the first half other than the scoreline. But kudos to Farke for the change at half time, almost making it a 4-4-2 to match Wednesday up, Marley brought a bit more grit than Murphy did and seemed more willing to get into the box.
Maddison was outstanding, and Pritchard being on the pitch gave them something more to think about than just fouling Madders. Oliveira squandered a hugely easy chance in the first half right in front of the Barclay, but I would say his overall game was an improvement on the last, perhaps the threat of Jerome on the bench is spurring him on?
Vrancic had a decent game as was able to get forward more, but seems to be the whipping boy of the moment, and received pelters from everyone around me if he put the slightest foot wrong.
Was good to see Trybull back.
Harrison Reed was outstanding, Klose worthy of mention too, great header for the goal.

First half was just a bit "meh". Everyone was a bit 6/10. Second half several of them got to being more of an 8/10,

First half wasn't great at all, but yeah second half was a lot better. The fact that we scored as well whilst we were on top at the start of the half really helped, as I think that's something that we've failed to do at times this season.
Fair play to Farke for making the change at half-time. I do feel a bit for Josh though, as whilst he was having a bit of a shocker, a lot of the crowd seemed to be on his back before he'd even touched the ball. One bloke behind me in particular seemed to have a go at him no matter what he did, and even somehow tried to blame him for Sheffield Wednesday's goal. Don't get me wrong he had a very poor first half, but the same fans who were slating Josh when he gave the ball away, didn't say a thing when Maddison or Pritchard did the same. The change though did make a difference. I haven't been that impressed by Watkins so far this season but I was impressed with him when he came on.

Actually seemed to be playing for the team rather than himself, and although he missed a great chance in the first half it was good that he finally got his goal at the end. Reed was excellent, probably my man of the match, with Maddison not far behind. Having Pritchard in the side definitely made us better as well. Leeds away next is going to be a tough game, but after that we have Brentford and Millwall at home and Birmingham and Burton away. If we can pick up a lot of points from those games we could find ourselves back in a favourable position. This result as well is a great way to start.

Yeah he loses the ball occasionally, but overall he had a decent game. He gets more grief than he deserves, different players get treated with different rules. Would Maddison have got the same stick had he lost the ball? Were there absolutely no defenders covering after he lost the ball? You can track mistake back as long as you care to.

Nope. I mean I called Maddison out for a similar offence at another game. But nobody was particularly fussed.
Those are the sort of things that are the difference between good players and great players.

I don't think Josh does himself any favours sometimes though. He does appear to be a bit of a bottler. I think if he sticks in a tackle or two or gets clattered he might win a few people over.
Generally I think he's one of those players who is at his best playing on instinct. I think when he gets a bit of time (too much time) to think about something he's prone to f*cking it up.
