Still no fancy club crest I'm afraid, still away at work!

Few players staked a claim after the cup game?

I dont see many changes - Josh replaced by either his brother or more likely Canos and whittaker starting at right back.

I have a growing concern that the starting XI has become too predictable,  and as a result players are losing intensity with no fear of being dropped.  The whole midfield 5 failed to sparkle again; And in reality only Wes can be said to have impressed so far this season.   There is a little disquiet about Naismith & but I see no challenge to the equally poor Tettey and Howson, the last two have become inconsistent shoe ins.  Mulumbu seems to be the one rotated in and out but his inconsistency doesnt seem any worse than the others this season.  Like wise Brady and Bennett cause concern.

We have the ability - AN needs to ensure that the desire from the players picked match his on the side lines.

For me, and assuming no injury returns

Going down to Birmingham for this one (currently in Ayia Napa but getting the plane to Stansted later on today, should be back home in Norwich at about 2am, then have to get up at half 6 to get the 8am coach :D ),will be my first game of the season as I was away for both home games and the derby. Not expecting an easy game and I do rate Birmingham as a team so am not massively optimistic at the moment. Also just while we're on the subject I do really like Gary Rowett, and if Neil was to be sacked or leave in the near future then he'd be my number one choice to replace him.

Haven't seen any of the last 3 league games so won't predict the team but surely Canos will start if fit after his brace in the week? Would be nice if we could get some of the injured lads back in some form as well. From what mates have been telling me as well Naismith has been shocking, so maybe time he should be dropped and perhaps the 3 in behind him should be Wes, Canos and Jacob?

What about Pritchard? Surely he ought to be reocvered/fit by now. Stomach problem wasn't it?

I don't necessarily agree about Naismith as the games I've seen he seems to be played out of position as has Howson. Cannot see why Tettey (booked twice already) stayed on and Mulumbu came off last week so there might be some truth in the point of view of some being fire proof.

I have doubts about Naismith and Hoolahan in the same team.

Although there might be some decent link up play between them I'm not sure if it brings the best out of the team.

I don't think you are the only one with doubts. Especially if the opposition bypasses them as Ipswich did last week. I do think Naismith has a role pushed up alongside Jerome though.

All the injured lads, are still out. Pritchard and Dorrans are doing some form of light training so I would assume AN will be looking to find them game time after the international break.

My guess is that we will go with something like this. With possibly Canos pushing Jacob to get the nod for a start.

changes have been made, looks like Jacob Murphy, Wes and Canos will be supporting Naismith in attack, Lafferty on the bench, Jerome not in the squad

Sounds like Whittaker is having a mare. He isn't alone by the sound of it but he has more than most. Martin has to replace him 2nd half I think.

So was this score the result of individual mistakes or a system unsuited to the players or the situation?

WTF is going on, is all I can say.

How can we have so much quality in our squad and then get thrashed by Birmingham.

It has to be the manager's fault.

OBviously I was only listening to CanaryWorld but it seemed the set up was totally wrong. Canos had the beating of his fullback but had no-one to cross to. Naismith is not suited to playing on his own up front in our system so was never where he was meant to be. And why persist with Howson as a holding midfield player.

And Tettey must be fire proof or a mason to get in ahead of Mulumbu. He is clumsy and not able to give the ball to anyone on their correct foot. And if we get £8M for Brady in his current form then we have to accept it.

The Murphy's seemed to be willing to try but I guess the Scottish Mafia will prevail and they will probably be made scapegoats as was an apparent tiring Canos.

And just how many times is Whittaker allowed to *bleep* up before he is sent off to the under 18's for training.

I'm just wondering whether there are a few players who are perhaps not giving 100% because of the forthcoming transfer deadline, and whether they'll miraculously become good again when the deadline passes and they are still here.

People who went to the game would need to comment on that, just funny how we're suddenly terrible near the deadline, almost as if there are players concentrating on being fit enough to pass a medical on Tuesday morning.

Can easily understand that the form book goes out of the window for a derby game, but Birmingham are bang average (if that) and we should be expecting a response to a poor performance!

That one is out of left field.

I still think that AN is getting his tactics wrong. Once again we, despite his spin that we will always try to attack, went into a match with the first thought being not to lose. Relying on full backs to bolster the attack is OK if they are called Alves or Alba but doing that means we always sacrifice midfield because of this.

We had lots of set pieces today and didn't sound dangerous or threatening from one. Yet we hear we have players who are good at delivery. One header and that was from Wes!! We don't commit men forward and still give the opposition too much respect.

I am getting a bit fed up with pre match bull about how we have no fear and will try to win every match. I'm sorry, but I don't believe it.

And now we are settling for a £4M striker who will have to plough a lone furrow up front and will get little or no support.
