If you have 3 strikers, and you lose two of them, and you need the other one to step up, and he doesn't, it isn't really ideal, and it would test the best of managers. Also the knock on effect of losing two players that put a massive amount of work in, both on and off the ball, was always going to have a huge effect. With that workrate missing, every other player is under more pressure.Are you saying that Wagner & Webber weren't good enough to adapt to two injuries.
Remember that they bought in numerous players in the summer.
I completely agree we should have found a way to cope with it, but as I have said before, we have a great first 11, then it all gets a bit thin after that.
