Are you saying that Wagner & Webber weren't good enough to adapt to two injuries.
Remember that they bought in numerous players in the summer.
If you have 3 strikers, and you lose two of them, and you need the other one to step up, and he doesn't, it isn't really ideal, and it would test the best of managers. Also the knock on effect of losing two players that put a massive amount of work in, both on and off the ball, was always going to have a huge effect. With that workrate missing, every other player is under more pressure.

I completely agree we should have found a way to cope with it, but as I have said before, we have a great first 11, then it all gets a bit thin after that.

Our current injury list :-

Gunn
Gibson
Hanley
Duffy
Sorenson
Barnes
Sargent

Sure there may be a few more I have missed?

It doesn't take a lot to join up the dots though, if you look at our start to the season, and where it started to go a bit wrong.
Wagners record as a manager is appalling, he's not the answer even in the short term.
If Wagner IS the answer, I would like to know what the question was. I think I do know that. The question was "Who does Webber know, who we can get on the cheap?"

Think you may have missed some strikers off your list there Morty.
Then there's goal scoring midfielders.
The tactics which suited Ashley & Josh clearly don't suit the other players so why haven't they been developed and adjusted?

Whilst I 100% agree that of course we could have adjusted tactics, maybe it isn't as easy as we think. Personally I would have gone with a 5 man midfield, and persisted with Idah, and just told him to absolutely run his arse off. But there is also the caveat I always mention in the fact that whilst we have a starting 11 that could get promoted, it all gets a bit thin once you start to dig deeper.

Surely the problem is persisting with a system which doesn't suit those player's.
Yeah, discuss the transfer window if you like but that can't change now, have to adapt to the player's available and play to their strengths not expose their weaknesses.

What if their strengths really aren't quite good enough?

Why did we buy them? Hwang Nunez Sara Onel Placheta Sainz Stacy Forshaw Batth etc
Some of those players are recent incoming, why if they're not good enough?
Unless it's the system which is flawed for player's of their type.

You need squad players, unless you are Man City you will have maybe 15 players who are genuine first team contenders. Players good enough to be in a first team aren't going to come and sit on a bench at Norwich City.

And our transfer policy is always based on a certain amount of risk, we rarely have the money to buy sure things or finished articles.

I fully accept it is Wagners job to find a way of winning, but the caveats of injuries and squad quality are the reason he is still in a job.

Good win, long may they continue. No comparison between our ref for this game and the clowns et al Hooper and Friend. So after all these games, our esteemed coach finally played Baarth, a defending cb, makes you wonder if the coaching staff have been wandering aroun Colney, fingers in ears and singing la la la

But they have bought finished articles this year.
They knew what was coming because those players have long records & stats.

Who would you class as a finished article, that we bought? By finished article I mean a player that walks straight into the first team, fully fit and up to the standard. Not a player previously untried in this league / at this level.

I would hope that the players we brought in in their late twenties / early thirties they'd be the finished articles.

Why are our "friends" down the road doing so well with absolute hacks like Morsi, Harness, Chaplin et al?

Yeah who are you saying we bought that was immediate first team material?
Why did these players get brought in then?
Did Wagner & Webber buy a group of players who couldn't play for the first half of the season?

As I said above, not every player in your squad is good enough for the first team, you will have maybe 15-18 that you select your matchday squad from and the rest will be filler and youth. Right now we are missing a fair few who would be considered first choice. That leaves the filler and the youth. And our filler isn't good enough quality.

Who though? Other than Barnes & Sarge.
I just reckon recruitment was crap in the summer because of financial situation and Wagner hasn't got a clue.
