Not a rumour at all, just a question. Chelsea have allowed Cech to move on, with Mourinho stating he would have preferred him to stay. Rumours are they have bid 8m for Begovic.

Im surprised the Ruddy rumour hasnt resurfaced in these circumstances. Chelsea clearly want a quality back-up keeper and are prepared to pay reasonable money to get one. With Ruddy being English as well and with the previous link, Im surprised this hasnt been suggested in the media.

Any keeper who went there would surely know theyd be playing second fiddle to Courtois, as otherwise you're bascially declaring yourself better than Cech. Unless its a big move for you, would have to question anyone giving up first team football to go there.

Has anyone heard any rumours I might have missed?

Does Begovic count as home-grown in the way Song does? He's been around a fair while

From what I can tell he joined Pompey in 2003 as a 16 year old, so he should count as a home-grown player, but as Bosnia's number one, a well established premiership teams number one and still only 28 years old, I'm not sure him joining Chelsea to keep the bench warm for Courtois is the best move for his career, his bank balance sure, but his career not so much
