Jordi Amat and Alex Pritchard

Couldn't be bothered to create 2 threads, but the Mirror reporting that we're going to go in for Alex Pritchard if Spurs sign Berahino, and one or two Swansea fans on another forum saying we're looking to sign Amat from them, who's a centre back. I'd be pretty happy with both of them, in particular Amat. I'm not really sure why we'd need Pritchard to be honest.

Would be pleased with both.

I agree on the need for pritchard;   but he is top class and better than the other wes  alternatives 9andreu, howson, dorrans) so will be pleased if he signs;   but not if it means we dont have enough funds to secure some other positions.

I'm not actually sure that Pritchard is better than the current alternatives, although he was excellent last season and clearly has the potential to kick on from that, but it's really not a position I think we're struggling to fill at the minute IMHO.

Amat is certainly decent, but is he really any better than either Bennett or Wisdom? I'm not convinced myself, and he's certainly not the level of player may of us were wanting (e.g. VVD level or better).

Pritchard is one I wanted. As cover for the number 10 position or wide left I doubt we could do much better. Terrific little player, should have been young player of the year last season imo.

Don't really know anything about Amat.
