If he had just said he wanted to leave and that was it, no problem what so ever with that. However to call the club what he did, just showed a complete lack of respect and a lack of professionalism. So no problem cheering for him while he's a Norwich player and admit he'll be vital for us this year, but won't fully forgive him or respect him again.I know that no player is bigger than the club and all, but I think Wes's hissy fit in January was indicative of just how unpopular Hughton's tactics were among many of the squad. I can't blame him for wanting to leave us (and Hughton) to join up with Lambert again. Now he knows he's valued and that we'll be trying to play attractive football, he's happy to eat humble pie and fight for his place in the team – live and let live, I say.
That was how one or more national newspapers reported it I believe, the bird on twitter was too polite to say the actual words - but Wes said it in front of a group of reporters not just one.CanaryBoy - Where did that come from? Can you remember?
That's also the exact one I remember seeing. Can't for the life of me remember where though. Thought that was the generally accepted version of events though.CanaryBoy - Where did that come from? Can you remember?
