Can we hang out without selling any of our best players? ie. Hooper, Howson or Redmond...even  Bradders.

And,..

Will we sign anyone else?

Personally, apart from maybe a CB I think we've got a pretty good squad as it stands.

I really hope nobody else leaves, if we lost Johnson or Tettey I'd be devastated. If we lost Redmond I'd be very disappointed, if we lost Hooper I'd be a little upset but I'd get over it.

I think we'll see a couple of new signings this week. I think we'll bring in another forward thinking midfielder to replace Fer. I also think we may bring in another centre back, although after Cuellar I'm not sure and it will depend on how long Bennett is out for.

If Hooper left for a decent fee, I wouldn't be bothered in the slightest. I think we should try and keep the rest.

Wonder if we could panic Fulham into taking some of our unwanteds for top dollar? Bassong for instance?

A CB if Bennett is long term injury.

A CM if Surman is off.

A winger.

Hopefully we can ship out Bunn, Bassong & Becchio too. Even if they all go for nothing, probably save us around £30k a week.

Centre mid, right back and another striker if Hooper goes - hope he won't.

Please remove Becchio and Bassong from wage list.

:p

For me the priority has to be another defender. Either a centre back if Adams can convince Russell Martin that he could do one more year at right back, or a right back if he can't.

I don't think Whittaker is as bad as he looks sometimes, if that makes sense, he can often manage to look really uncomfortable on the ball without doing much wrong - but I did expect him to look a lot more comfortable at this level than he has so far.

Other than that I don't see the need to sign anybody unless an important player leaves, such as a replacement for Hooper. Always room for a special talent though, wouldn't say no to Sinclair or Commons.

I imagine we'll loan a player or two after window closes

Would like a quality RB, more cover at CB depending on Bennett's injury, replacement for Fer possibly and definitely if Surs goes

Its going to be a nervous week waiting to see if there are any comings or goings no doubt.  I would imagine that the momentum and spirit gained from 3 straight wins will at least discourage those in the team from thinking about alternative offers but similarly any who have not been in the team may feel that chances will be limited.  Wishful thinking maybe but hopefully that means that Tettey and Redmond will be happy to stay and be part of a success story. Equally the likes of Hooper might imagine that they will get a lot of bench warming duties this season so might be tempted by the lure of games elsewhere.  Personally I hope that we lose only the 3 Bs and get them off the wage bill ASAP and bring in another RB a CM.

Nervous final days to be sure - both ways! Big test for the 'we don't have to sell' claim, but it also depends on what each player might be feeling.

Agree its a nervous 7 days ahead;  would love any departees to only be becchio,  bassong and hooper as they dont seem to have a space (would like a focused seb but that ship seems to have sailed)

As for ins,  I do think our squad is pretty solid now,  imo a further cb is needed to allow martin to play rb,  and to provide cover,  trying to go the season with just 3 recognised pickable cbs and Gafiti as covers feels too risky.

If we can ship out Bunn, Bassong and Becchio, it would save us closer to £60k a week!

It seems the Fer cm replacement is having a medical about now and the winger/wide mf is also incoming, though rather young. Rumours of Juves Sorenson yet to be substantiated, so a cb yet to appear. Overall this transfer window has been excellent for us. We could end up with a stronger squad than we finished last season with.

The one we need to keep at all costs is Hooper, when fit he is a goal scorer in this league and with the right service will score 20+ goals for us.

It Redmond went I wouldn't be bothered at all.

I don't understand people saying they wouldn't mind if Hooper left. Grabban is scoring goals for fun at the moment granted, but other than him that would leave us with youth players, Cameron Jerome (unknown really until we see him play with the squad) and Becchio who for whatever reason doesn't seem to fit into the plans anywhere. Hardly a strike force that can last out a long old season.

Grabban will inevitably go off form at times, and we need someone who is a proven goal scorer at this level. Hooper is (or at least was) that. We need strength in depth, and IMO, Hooper may even take Grabban's place off of him once fit.

Agreed, Hooper must stay.

It would cost silly money to replace him with a proven championship scorer, so no point in doing so.

Is anyone actually after Hooper? They'd have to pay handsomely for him at this stage
