We're 1-0 down at half time, good goal actually, curled in the top corner from the edge of the box, defense should of got tighter quicker, but a good finish all the same

Guess game is just fitness and it doesnt really matter where they play, but perhaps Neil wants his squad to be versatile and is deliberately trying new positions to know he can rely on them there if needs be.

Think Bennett's best chance of forcing himself back into the first team picture is to show he is an option at rightback. He hasnt played well at left wing, we've seen little evidence he can play as an attacking central midfielder and he's not going to displace Redmond. With Whittaker maybe needed at left back and Martin reluctant to play rightback, Benno may well be needed.

Result is pretty irrelevant, but we probably should've scored. Played some nice football in the second half though.  Ricky scuffed his only half chance but still did what he does.     Vadis looked pretty decent too.  Definitely don't want Turner anywhere near the first team next season though  :mellow:

My thoughts are pretty much the same as yours Suffolk, played some good stuff in the 2nd half despite not getting on the score sheet, didn't really create too many real chances which was a disappointment, I thought that Jacob Murphy played pretty well out on the left actually, seems like he's starting to catch up with his brother, his loan spells seem to of done him the world of good, all in all only a friendly we only conceded the one goal, everyone got a bit fitter because of it, not really too much to worry about from it, but some of the fringe players didn't really do enough to show they should be starting against palace in a couple of weeks

Didn't watch it but by the sounds of what AN came out and said we should've at least scored in the second half, sounds like we struggled with the hot temperatures.

I watched the 2nd half, we were quite good without creating too much I thought. Good in possession, good passing, and they couldn't get hold of the ball. RVW and Vadis should have scored really but I wouldn't read too much into the result.

For me two things came out of this game other than it be a very decent work out,,,,,,,,1) Vadis could be a major player this coming season 2) RVW wont be a major player this season, dont let that tap in vs Cambridge  fool you!

I really, really want Vadis to come good, when I have watched him for the U21's its obvious he has all the attributes, I just hope his injury problems are behind him. *cliche alert* He could be like a new signing for us this season.

Consider Josh, and having had more exposure to the first team than ur brother you find yourself no longer in the first team squad and your brother is in, I wonder if it crossed his mind to broach the possibility of mistaken identity, and how exactly would that awkward converstation go?!

Hughton had them wearing different colour boots because he couldnt tell them apart (at least on the pitch).

Makes you wonder if one of them became an important player in the future and got suspended, whether you could play him anyway under his brothers name. Even if there were suspicions the other twin had been played illegally, how on earth could you prove such a thing?!
