Totally undeserved, what the hell was our defense doing?

Didn't get a replay on my stream, and only caught a glance of the goal.

Not sure if I imagined it or not, but was that a fairly harmless long range shot which slipped through Ruddy's fingers? Or not?

took a deflection but I feel Ruddy should have done better, though have not seen it from behind the goal.

Looking forward to hearing what happened at the end there, a brawl of some sort?

Wow, I haven't seen spawn like that for a while.

Charlton didn't offer much but they are well drilled and organised, that is sufficient to give you a chance in this league.

Hey ho, hopefully it will act to our the boys on to another good run.

Oh well, top of the league still, roll on Saturday, must do better in front of goal. (and not have a cheating ref)

I think we are being found out at Carrow Road. We tend to overdo it I feel, trying to make sure rather than chancing the arm now and again. Poor finishing when we are trying to walk it in.

Still, roll on Saturday and they can show us that they know where they went wrong and get us back on track.

Total travesty! We're still top though. There had to be a fluke result like this at some stage of the season. Charlton had 3 shots, 1 on target and it went in. City had 15 shots against a packed defence, 4 on target and others blocked by a mass defence. City performed well against that packed defence. It wasn't trying to walk it in, it was good attacking football stymied by game killing tactics.

The test will be the response on Saturday.

Come on. We had so much ball because Charlton retreated and let us play in front of them. So why not try a few shots instead of falling into the trap of getting it out wide. Bikey was quite happy to stand there and knock it away. Apart from a couple of occasions when Redmond got past his man we put the ball in only for it to come straight back out.

There is no law against defensive football. We couldn't and didn't break them down. And nobody else has this season, in the league anyhow, Yes it was smash and grab but their plan worked and ours didn't.

Charlton won't be the only team to come to Carrow Road and play like that.

Our home form does worry me a little. We've now failed to beat Bournemouth, Birmingham and Charlton at home.

Our home form is going to need to improve if we want a realistic chance of automatic promotion, not meaning to be negative but it just does..... we need to win our home games.

I'd like to think that Adams will now think about using that big squad of his, and bringing people like Elliott Bennett back in from the cold. The problem with not using your squad in this league is that you become predictable. Same with the league above, as we saw under Hughton.

Very very frustrating. But fair play to Charlton, who came here with a game plan to hold us off and then try and nick a goal on the break, which worked to perfection. On the whole they defended very well, and the experience of Ben Haim and Bikey at the back really showed. Although we were unlucky in the sense that Jackson's shot was deflected, we gave him far too much time and space to hit the shot.

The fact of the matter is, if you don't take your chances at any level then you've got very little chance of winning the game. Today was different to our recent home games, in the sense that we didn't struggle in breaking Charlton down. We created a number of opportunities in the second half and failed to take them. Redmond should've easily converted that one on one, Grabban hit one wide that he should've buried, we had one effort cleared off the line (at least I think it was, I didn't really know what was going on),and we also had a goal ruled out, which I didn't really see clearly so can't really comment on.

But no matter how many chances we missed, we should've had a penalty without any shadow of a doubt. I was right in line with it, and it clearly hit Bikey on the arm. It was 0-0 at the time as well. I thought all in all the ref had an awful game. He gave every 50/50 Charlton's way and how he didn't manage to see that it hit Bikey's arm amazed me. I'm not trying to make excuses, but it was an awful decision.

I also think that Michael Turner was MOTM. Redmond was very good and I can't argue with the decision to give him man of the match, but for me Turner just edged it. I also thought Russell Martin was very good at centre back. And whilst Hoolahan was superb, if we're going to play him then we have to play 4-2-3-1. Adams said that he wasn't playing on the wing, he was playing in the whole, which meant that we had no-one down the left hand side, which is a definite disadvantage. I was also impressed with Howson when he came on.

Still, we're top of the league, and if we beat Rotherham then we'll stay top going into the international break. We're playing some great attacking football, and have only lost 2 out of our opening 10 games. I'm very happy.

Hoolahan was slotting in on the left when they had the ball. Not ideal imo but Wes had a decent game anyway.

Still think we'll see better from Wes when he truly has a free role....and isn't having to find a way thought 10 men.

We were so comfortable tonight I couldn't see us losing. They offered little going forward and what they did Turner read and dealt with.

Redmond had a very good game generally but you've got to say that he simply had to take that chance. I'm sure that'll be keeping him awake tonight. Such a shame because his performances have deserved a goal.

I can see why it was difficult to change things earlier than what we did because we seemed to be playing well and nobody was really having a poor game (apart from Jerome, maybe).

But when you're playing against a side that's camped in like that you've possibly got to look to get down the sides of them rather than trying to play through. Although Redmond does give you that he can obviously only play one wing at a time and once again I thought we were often lacking an outlet on our left.

Similarly when you're up against that you need people who have a bit of thrust going forward. You're not getting a lot of that from Johnson and Tettey but you do get it from Howson and he showed it as soon as he came on - which was too late.

I would call a small brawlette lol.

Didn't really see who took umbrage with who, but it was just lots of gesturing and chest puffing, no real drama.
