I must have missed Hoolahans goal then. Hmmm, that changes the game for me. All that time between Olssons and Turners goal I thought we were chasing the equaliser, and I thought Jerome's was the winner! The difficulty of a stream without replays or a scoreboard!
Basically, for Hoolahan's goal, the ball was floated in by Redmond from the right hand side, Jerome got to it at the back post, and headed it towards the goal, Marshall made a great save but the rebound fell to Hoolahan who smashed it in.

Absolutely fantastic stuff. Just got home from a training course in time to hear us go 3-2 up, and then found the stream in time to see Cameron round the keeper for number 4. Phenomenal stuff against one of the best teams in the division. Has to be a massive boost psychologically.

When was the last time we won 2 on the spin away from home?
Never mind 2 on the trot away from home, how about 4 in the second half away from home. Have we EVER done that? We probably have but I would guess only the anoraks would know the answer.

Also, how was Michael Turner not sent off? Adeyemi was basically through on goal and Turner hacked him down, that's got to be a red.

Oh well  :D

Arsenal away, at Highbury in the opening game of the 3rd in the Prem season. No anorak needed to remember that!

I'll be honest. I definitely thought 3 points was out of reach at half. Maybe 1 but not 3. And each time I checked twitter the belief that something could come from nothing grew.

Man I would have loved to see that game! 4 goals in the second half? Last year I would have said you were on some pretty strong stuff. This year, I'm starting to see that anything is possible. OTBC!!!

What an excellent result - was fearing the worst after the first 30 minutes

NA - got the subs and the change of formation spot on in the 2nd Half

Momentum is important and with lots of games coming up in quick succession, I am sure the team and the fans are on a high after this one

Before Lambert arrived I thought comebacks like today was what "other teams" do.

When Hughton was here, I remembered that comebacks like today were what "other teams" do, and if we were 2-0 down then let's try not to make it 3-0 down.

Blimey. Roll back the years, why don't you.

That sounds like the goal I saw. I must have missed Turners goal then. Which makes sense from the pattern of play, but how the hell I missed that I've no idea!

Yes indeed. Go 1-0 down? Defend the 1-0 loss. Hughtonball 101

Amazing! I'm at work and when I saw the score at half time I gave up on checking the score, couldn't believe it when I looked again at 80 minutes!

This is a hoooooge result, and really shows our intent.

Went to the match with a friend who supports Cardiff. I was so embarrassed at half-time and he was trying not to laugh. My job in the second half, and I have to tell you all that I failed miserably!

Buzzing after that, amazing second half performance and more than made up for some of the awful defending that we saw in the first half.

We were completely outplayed for the first half an hour. Barely saw any of the ball and never got out of our own half. We had some spells where we had the ball but we didn't really carve out any chances, with the exception of Lafferty's effort that was well tipped round the post by Marshall. But towards the end of the second half we were much better. Although we didn't create anything we saw a lot of the ball and moved it around nicely, and the likes of Hoolahan and Redmond gradually got more involved. I have to say I was disappointed when Adams took Lafferty off, as I thought he was our main threat in the first half, but Cameron Jerome, what a performance. Probably our man of the match even though he only played a half. Held the ball up superbly and worked unbelievably hard. He also provided us with some pace going forward. From that we took the impetus, and our passing and movement was so much more coherent. With the exception of Peter Whittingham's free-kick that went just wide, Cardiff never troubled our goal in the second half, and didn't seem to have any motivation to try and get themselves back in the game after we'd taken the lead.

Ruddy didn't really have much to do in the game, even in the first half. He made a great save from Macheda right at the start of the second half to stop us going 3-0 down, but apart from that I can't remember a save he had to make. I thought Russell Martin was much better at right back. Got forward brilliantly in the second half and was pretty solid throughout that half as well. Turner was excellent again. Despite the fact that it was his sloppy clearance that lead to Cardiff's first goal, on the whole I thought he was very good. Scored what effectively was the winning goal as well. I was also impressed with Hooiveld. Thought he was ok in the first half, but in the second he was excellent and didn't really put a foot wrong. His long passing is also fantastic. Olsson was poor for me in the first half. Didn't track the run of Pilkington which lead to Cardiff's second, but like most he was much improved in the second half, and obviously scored the goal that got the ball rolling. Didn't think Tettey was as good as he has been in previous games, but he was still brilliant, but he kept things simple and never stopped running. Johnson was ok. Like pretty much everyone else he improved in the second half, but what he tended to do in the first half was do something brilliant, and then 2 seconds later he'd do something stupid. On the whole a good performance from him though. As I said before, I was disappointed when Lafferty was taken off. He did go down and received treatment off the pitch at one point in the first half, so maybe it was something to do with that. But in the first half he seemed to me to be the only player trying to do something, and had a great effort saved well by Marshall. His replacement though, Jerome, was exceptional. Added an attacking flair that we so desperately lacked in the first half. Was brilliant at holding the ball up and worked his bloody socks off. Was unlucky that he was denied so brilliantly by Marshall in the build up to Hoolahan's goal, but eventually got the goal that he deserved. I have no doubt he'll start against Brentford on Tuesday, and rightly so. Hoolahan was marvellous in the second half. Was gradually getting better towards the end of the first, but he controlled the game in the second half and was in the right place at the right time to grab the equaliser. Redmond was much more like the player everyone thought he could be this season. Declan John just could not deal with him, and his delivery on the whole was excellent today. Didn't think Grabban was great today though tbh. He was never in the box in the first half, and he wasn't really too involved in the second. It wouldn't actually bother me too much if he was dropped next game and Lafferty started up front and Jerome on the wing.

That is an excellent result though. I would've taken a draw before the start of this game, and especially at half time, but we showed an excellent fighting spirit to not only get ourselves back into the game, but win it so convincingly. Brentford next game will be very difficult though. They're currently in 6th, and are unbeaten in 4 league games, but if we can beat Cardiff so impressively, I have no doubt we can beat Brentford. We then play Birmingham and Blackpool, which should be an easy 6 points.

I thought taking Kenwyne Jones off was a very odd thing to do, especially at 2-2. He was holding the ball up well, and was one of their best players up to that point. No idea why Ole took him off, but oh well. I also thought we were lucky though not to go down to 10. At 3-2 Cardiff got a free-kick right on the edge of our box when Turner bought down Adeyemi when he was running through on goal. Admittedly Adeyemi took a heavy touch which took him slightly away from goal, but he was through on goal if he wasn't hacked down by Turner, thought it was very strange that he wasn't sent off.

Huge credit to Neil Adams though, made the change of bringing Jerome on at half time, which is something Hughton would never of done at 2-0 down away from home, and he clearly managed to fire the players up somehow for the second half.

Brentford up next, bring it on!

. I have to say I was disappointed when Adams took Lafferty off
NA says it was mostly because of Lafferty's yellow card and fearing he may get a red. Harsh on Lafferty, maybe he would have been the hero if he'd stayed on. Difficult to argue with the decision in light of the result though.

At half-time I. along with many around me, was wondering if this had really been a waste of time travelling to Cardiff.  I have to say that it was by far our worst half of football this season.

The second-half was just remarkable though and NA has to take huge kudos for having what it takes to put fire in the bellies of the players and make brave changes too. Redmond was outstanding, albeit against defenders who looked out of their depth at times. If anyone doubted why he is rated so highly then that performance should silence those doubts.

It reminded me of my favourite ever away trip to Sheffield United in the mid 80's when we won 5-2 and looked a class apart in the second half.  That year we cruised to promotion and it is very hard to believe that we will not have a similar outcome this season. It was a very happy drive back down the M5 for me last night.

So looking forward to the Brentford game now. I suspect that they will be tougher opponents than Cardiff.

One further thought - so glad we did not go for OGS when he was being touted as a possible manager for us at one time. He looks out of his depth and the Cardiff fans I talked to seemed deeply unhappy with his tinkering with line-ups and formations.

I think the substitution of Jerome for Laffs made all the difference. I really rate Laffs, but we needed the higher tempo closing down, and Jerome certainly brought that yesterday. Led that from the front. Was very impressed with his second half contribution. What a fantastic touch from Tettey though for the third. The guy is having a storming season. So glad we kept him.

Incredible result and a spirited fight back away from home at one of the better teams in the division. I had a Cardiff supporting friend texting me at half time just to 'kindly make sure' I was aware of the score, I joked that we'd win 2-3...! Adams seems to be doing exactly what we all wanted (and the club needed) right now, great job so far, long may it continue.

Not great quality but someone's uploaded the football league show highlights if you can't wait for the official upload:

Ha ha I've just noticed that I made it onto the Archant photo gallery from yesterday. Thankfully they took the photo at the end when I was politely applauding in a dignified manner and not when I was losing my sh*t big time when we scored our third :)

Just saw the highlights on the official youtube channel. It looks like for Turner's goal Grabban got a touch and it was going in anyway. Unlucky not to get his sixth goal.
