We were lucky to go in at 0-0 after they hit the post, but showed our class in the second half. 

Really glad we didn't play them earlier in the season when they were getting a bit of luck and we were a shambles.

I predict a Nelson Oliviera hat-trick in the return fixture and that will be the day that he cements his place as the worthy custodian of Sir Grant Holt's number 9 shirt. If Ipswich thought they were outclassed today then wait until they have to work out what to do with a fully fit Lord Nelson and Alex Pritchard, they couldn't even cope with Wildschut.

Also, I think Tom Adeyemi showed why he is at Ipswich and not at Norwich today. Don't blame him for choosing Ipswich over League One football, but he looked out of his depth against our midfield. Ipswich have got a good keeper and 3 good centre backs, and that's probably the only difference between them and the best teams in League One. We're still miles ahead of them, we already knew it but it feels good to make it a matter of official record (again).

The bit I really like about today apart from the win, is the complete stupidity of everything to do with 1p5wich Town FC, from the manager down.  During the first half, the commentator made mention of the fact that they were allowing Maddison onto his favoured right foot at every opportunity.  Now presumably, a manager of MM's experience would have pointed out to his players, that this was not a good idea.  Now, here's the rub, the stupid pillock never took into consideration that they are unable to tell their left from their right.........................and what happens?   OTBC

And the fact that Wildschut was giving Spence a nightmare from minute 1 because couldn't handle his pace, and Mick McCarthy never thought to bring on the pacey right back he had sitting on the bench (Iorfa), what a muppet. Our goal eventually came from that side as well. 

He actually had two right backs on the bench, and just let Spence get run ragged for 90 minutes and play most of the game scared of getting a second yellow, thank goodness he isn't our gaffer.

So happy with that, so professoonal......and for me, Maddison is certainly going to be a big player, just add some bulk, which will happen, and I can seriously see him ending up playing for England one day...he's got so much about him and so much potential.
