Derbies, derbies, derbies. Either an amazing day, or an absolutely shite one, no in-betweens. You can't get a fag paper between our form figures right now, but I know who has the more pressure on them. Ipswich sit 2nd with 2 games in hand and will be desperate not to lose ground, Middlesboro, just below them.

Monday at Millwall was another Clement masterclass in squad management, and as long as no one has picked anything up in training this week, I expect a very strong lineup. I hope to see Toure start ahead of Kvistgarden, and as much as he is our best defender, in my opinion, I'm not that bothered about seeing McConville rushed back in.

I couldn't give a shit about Nunez, we bought Mattsson with the money, so I know who got the best deal there!

Heart, easy Norwich win, 2 nil. Head, possible draw.

I have had a look at their forum and I'm not seeing many giving it Billy big balls shouting about winning this.

This is absolutely the last game they would want at this time of the season.

I've decided I'm not even going to watch it on the telly, if we get beat then I will be pleased to have missed it, if we win I'll watch the whole game later. I'm off to watch Barnet v Barrow to take my mind off it :)

Feel differently from last time when I was in a pub and basically stopping myself from watching about 4 screens all around me. I had no faith in the Manning team phase whereas now I am sure we will be a match against a side pushing for it. I can't see us hiding put it that way.
Probably ends up a draw and who knows... it's about time we got a penalty and maybe a red card (for them).

Bad team selection, officials out of their depth and some players not playing with the fight and urgency needed.

We weren't good enough, but my God, that ref was just terrible.

He was. The penalty was iffy but if you are going to give it you have to be just as stringent on other situations which he wasn't. Very poor from him and his colleagues.

But they'll get away with it and move on to their next game.

Also poor from the higher ups to appoint him/them to this game when clearly not up to the task.

They could have had at least two players off.

Still the Nunez thing was funny, and I enjoyed coming out after half time to find Onel Hernandez stood in my row waving wanker signs at the scum fans :D

I think PC will know by now though that you're not going anywhere in this league with Kvistgaarden upfront.

Different game with a fully fit Big Mak or Big Mo upfront from the off.

They got the penalty (which they shouldn't have had and we should have had) and there was no red card (when they should have had for Davis and Nunez fouls after they had been booked).

Poor all round performance from all the officials but is to be expected now unfortunately. The Championship seems to have a glut of incompetent referees.

F****** rat was a disgrace... especially for his time with us, plucking him out for a chance of top level football by our scouting system, being paid well and being supported by paying fans. No class to this fella and he clearly has a poor mentality. Looked like he was enjoying being the villain. Hope karma comes calling for him.

Really fed up tonight. Thought they defended very well and our set up and tactics were wrong.

Sounds like I did the right thing by avoiding it, Barnet won 3-2 ;). Had a quick look at the " highlights", never a pen and Nunez could have had three yellow cards, ref had a mare didn't he?

Best decision any fan made yesterday.
It was an horrific game. Not because of how we played (we were a bit toothless) but because the ref effectively changed the whole momentum of the match very early on. It was a staggeringly poor performance by him. I suppose it's easy though to blame the referee but on this occasion he ruined it. Wished I hadn't watched. And I feel for those who had to experience it first hand.

Been quite the week for me, away at Millwall was absolutely textbook, trains went well, lovely sunny day, lots of beers and a great result.

Then there was yesterday

I have to agree that the officials created the opportunity for a Town win. I watched with a mix of yellow and blues who all agreed. The ref gave them the chance to park the bus and play on the counter. No difference between the sides really.

That will be last derby for few years thank god! Different leagues next season then pass them on our way up and hopefully stay up for few years while they drop down leagues

That is my thinking. I realise they will have to spend next year but they look pretty average to me (like many clubs in the Championship). Nunez is nowhere near Premier League quality and he (coughs) cost 10m. Nor has he got the injury record or mentality let alone the sheer physical strength needed. The defence looks okay mind but easily undone by EPL teams.
I think the gap is widening between the top two leagues. And that's what makes the summer recruitment interesting. We may sell and there will be 3 or 4 out I believe and of course we will see signings. Wouldn't be surprised if they aren't already lined up. And I think we have an EPL ready manager in place.

So it's not within the realms of fantasy to see the two teams swap places.
