Enjoyed game, thought the boys did really well,shame Ruddy went walkabout a few times( is he an Aussie aborigine?) His defence don't know what he's doing, doesn't seem to shout for ball..AN's team was spot on and tactics good. Well done to him,his coaches and his team...71 tomorrow, thought I was in for early birthday present, not so, but no complaints from me for this game. How on earth did we do so badly at Newcastle?

AN got today's tactics as right as he got those for Newcastle wrong, clearly he is a quick learner! Good all round performance considering we were playing Citeh and it will be interesting to see if Jo Hart keeps his place after a really proper horrific error.

I think they are harsh to be honest, wouldn't give anybody less than a 6, other than perhaps Ruddy simply for that mistake.

Battling but average performance for me.   Our game plan was to park the bus,  close space out and concentrate on defending for 95 mins.  We failed on the concentration stakes,  assisting in both their goals so losing the point and couldn't even keep a clean sheet with a back 9 ?.  Sadly a trait seen week after week.   

Add in failure to pass well so gifting possession back ,cheapky and overall it makes the other 93 mins relatively meaningless as a one off tactic against a talent side that won't be used again this year.

The three positives were Mulumbu, who looks like a great asset alongside tettey,  and Brady who showed the other right backs and us fans what's been missing, and keeping the goal difference impact down.  

Both players showed the quality and consistency we need.  Time for the rest to match up to that standarD, if we dont the cycle of Plucky efforts,  sloppy inadequate defending and failure to take chances is too reminiscent of 04-05 & 13-14 seasons.

thats a good point, when you look at Man City's recent home results, they have been scoring goals for fun

6-1 vs Newcastle

5-1 vs Bournemouth

5-1 vs Palace

also they beat Sevilla 2-1 at home too, so if you want to say we matched Sevilla's scoreline there then its not a horrendous result at all

Good game from Norwich defensively. Worked very  hard  and well organised  but moments  of  madness  cost you.

Injuries  and half  an  eye on our Sevilla  game led to City being below par but that's  our problem.

i think he is much angrier about yesterday's performance than the horror show at Newcastle.

I din't see the match so will not comment on it except to say, I have looked at both their goals in slow mo, freeze frame etc and come to the conclusion that yes Ryan did let his man go but watching it so many times, the guy pushes him away slightly and steals a march on him. I would say top marks for their player rather than totally castigating Ryan.

It is clear to me that Neil is a simply better than his squad;   his tactical set up is usually well researched its just let down by having players who cant deliver the plan for a full match.

Expensive additions needed - as its clear over the last three seasons that the squad cant deliver whats needed

Yeah, thats pretty much how I read it. Lets hope the board matches his ambition.
